Impeachment witness scolds Nunes for calling him mister: 'Lt. Col. Vindman, please'

HAHA. I knew douchebags like this in the military who expected civilians to address them by their title as if it meant anything. Reminds me of a guy telling me he was a Master Chief when I joined the FAA. I chuckled, told him I played varsity soccer in high school. He steamed.

Also any Light Colonel with a sack tells people to call them Colonel..not Lieutenant Colonel. This guy is a dipsh!t.

My dad's brother was a tail gunner on a B-17 and was shot down over Austria in 1943. He was captured and spent almost 2 years in Stalag 17. When the allied troops marched in my uncle weighed 90+/- pounds and was close to death. My family has served and paid their dues going back to the Civil war.
I'm glad he survived. I can't imagine going through that.

My son's FIL is a CW4 in the NG and when we were introduced he was quick to point that out.

I said "tab check bitch".

In the Air Force if you are an airman you say airman, if you are a sergeant you say sergeant. Anyone not a Chief Master Sergeant who said "Im Technical Sergeant Douchebag" was always a douchebag. Same goes for officers.

Its like me answering the phone at work and saying "GS-14 Step 9 FlVol79 how may I ignore you today"??

So wait, John Eisenberg told Vindman that they were moving the transcript to preserve the integrity of it. He told Morrison it was an administrative mistake.

And he has disregarded subpoenas and refused to testify.

Doesn’t really mean anything, but it’s interesting.

A few weeks ago I had to ask how to address an AF E-8, just Chief or Master Chief. When we met he told me to call him Andy.

We used call our platoon leader “lieutenant” back in the day just to f wit him.

In before @VolnJC drops a sean davis tweet telling how this testimony is a disaster for the dims.
Volker hasn’t helped Trump so far but I still think he sounds like an unindicted co-conspirator.

How does somebody of his reputation not make the connection of investigations into Burisma and investigations into Biden? Just seems implausible.

Props to your family. My moms side, many served, including her father. My dads side, I believe his dad did in WWI and his brother in Korea (intelligence). My dad was not drafted for Nam being a college grad working with 3 young kids. But, on occasion he said he regretted not going. I'm not sure what mom would have done if something had happened and she had three kids under 5 with no degree and no job, and not much of a compensation back then. We did have a couple off in the Civil War. We have letters one wrote home from out in Texas. I was on the brink of choosing that route out of high school and letting that pay for college. I have always regretted that decision not to enlist.

Some people have an ego and some don't.

Yeah, but that's the airforce, it's like the diet military. Recognition of rank and giving it the respect it takes to earn it - even if they're a friend, you address the person by their rank in front of others. Full stop.

Perhaps calling LTC Vindman "mister" was a honest mistake, but it was more likely a backhand.

Beat Navy.

Should have said "oh, you're a weekend warrior." That rubs them raw. My college roommate was NG. We wore him out about being featured in Southern Comfort.

The only thing I have gotten out of this impeachment hearing is both sides hate each other’s guts, are doing their best to screw each other over as much as possible, and that our government is seriously dysfunctional and we the American people are f’d.

LOL, this is exactly the kind of response I'd expect from a air force guy.

If he'd have said "call me Colonel Vindman, please." You nerds would have broken the internet pointing out he's just a Lieutenant Colonel, don't even front.

I also love how "call me lieutenant colonel vindman, please" translates to "scolding." You guys need a safespace.

At lunch, I did catch Schiff's speech at the end of the VP's aide and the other dudes testimony. Didn't seem important enough to catch their names (maybe it was Volker and Williams?). Somehow, he found it necessary to re-frame Volker's testimony and make sure it ended with his narrative spin so that would be what was remembered, and climbed all the way up Volker's cavity for being a serviceman. He must not have been happy with the woman. He didn't thank or acknowledge her at all.

This is just an infomercial for impeachment. The democrats have already decided as have the republicans. The bottom line is the dems are trying to block the re-election of Trump.
