One could argue the same with williams in that I believe his mindset was to hit his pitch not the pitchers pitch. Not his fault the pitcher failed to throw strikes.
Oh, of course. His raw power and bat speed are ridiculous. But we all know we will likely never see another Ted Williams. I just made the statistical point given how Hamilton is killing everything for a month+ and is still below Williams' career OBP while keeping in mind Williams hit for substantial power as well. You give him those years he missed during times of war he hits 150+ more HRs and flirts with 700 career HRs.
He is worth that IMO. And I think he will get closer to 25 mil a year than 20. Twenty a year is really fair for both sides though. Considering the circumstances.
