There are about 800 levels of assumption in BBEXCELLENCE's post. The 2012 and 2013 classes for UK have a LONG way to go to even compare to Cal's previous classes, let alone be in the conversation for the "greatest thing since sliced bread" title.
He is right though, if they land everyone they should for 12 and 13 they could be 2 of the best 5 recruiting classes ever

For that matter, if UK won every game they should, they would be back to back national champs and working on a third.
Things don't always happen like they "should". I know Cal has had great recruiting success, but to assume that every great high school player is waiting with bated breath for the glimmer of opportunity to play at UK is pretty presumptive, arrogant, and narrow-minded. There are other good options out there. UK is not the end all, be all.
Quite frankly, its this type of arrogance from UK fans that make me despise them and their program even more.
If they land everyone they should...give me a break. If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle, but that's if.
im glad someone else gets irritated by the what if and should game, seems UK fans like to play it more than any other fan base.
heres a top 50 player out of KY that WONT even consider UK. after you read this tell me cal's shadiness is completely fictional and made up...
Top-50 recruit's father can't trust Cal, Pitino - CBSSports.com
Truthfully, if I'm not a sure-fire, can't-miss, first-rounder, I don't even consider UK. Every solid three or four-year player is simply going to be recruited over year after year and will hardly see the floor. Jon Hood would be a starter here. At UK, when healthy, he sees mop-up duty, and a couple minutes here and there when someone is in foul trouble. His problem is he grew up inundated in Big Blue lore, and the dream of "playing" for UK. Perhaps he is satisfied just being on the team, but if I were a top 50 player, I would want to actually play.
so how funny is this i looked up that player and he is now committed to UK. WTF? his father comes out and trashes the coaches and then his son commits there? thats just weird to me.
The kid originally committed to Purdue then changed his mind and de-committed. The parents are both huge UL fans. The kid now decides UK. Don't hold your breath. He's a junior and likely to change his mind a few more times.
