Man, the Kats are starting up their group psychosis early.. and we aren’t even thinking about them 😂… unrequited love story.. shouldn’t they be concerned with oh, I don’t know…the other teams that they also have to play?

Sports Talk J on YouTube posted a clip of them taking jabs at Heupel and the Vols. They say we're overrated and Heupel will get exposed by this year's tough schedule. Heupel is undefeated against them and we beat them black and blue last year. Will Kentucky ever learn? Tennessee doesn't lose to them unless we are at rock bottom, but we're on Rocky Top!
What is tougher this year vs. last year? Ala and FL away? Is that it? Or do they think that aTm @ home is harder than LSU @ Death Valley?

I don't get the continued preseason Kentucky hype when they continually disappoint on the field.
As a resident of NC I watched Leary a decent bit. He's really good, but had terrible WRs (slow is an understatement).

This year UK has speed at wide out and unfortunately made a really solid OC move. The Cats should have a fine season.

On the bright side, a nice year may send Stoops to Iowa.

Since 1983, Kentucky's winning percentage is 0.451.
Before Stoops arrived (his first season was 2013!), Kentucky's w% was 0.424.
Stoops' w% is 0.482.
If you exclude his first three seasons (all have w% below 0.5), then Stoop's w% is 0.607. This translates into 7 wins in a twelve-game season, or almost eight wins if you include a bowl game. On average, Stoops gives Kentucky an average of 1.5 additional wins per season.

This happens every year. And honestly I’m glad. As long as Mark Stoops stays at Kentucky, Kentucky will never reach their full potential as a football program. I see so much potential in their football program, but yet their fans are happy with a coach whose 2 and 7 (maybe 2 and 8 now?) against their biggest rivals. And honestly the media feeds into it with their bigotry of low expectations towards the Kentucky program. I say this every year and I will always have to, until they finally wake up and go get a real coach. What has Mark Stoops done?? What has he actually accomplished? Some worthless bowl game wins and beating a 4-8 and 3-7 Tennessee team?? The 2 worst Tennessee teams in 120 some odd years of Tennessee football. Do you know what the truth is? The truth is Mark Stoops will never leave that program because I think he knows he’s average. Any other program would have fired him along time ago, but UK is happy with average. And so that’s what they’ll always be. I hate that program with a passion but I can see that they have the ability to compete for championships. The truth is that fan base is happy with being elite in basketball and average in football. And Tennessee will reap the benefits aslong as it is that way
That team or program does not have the ability to compete for championships!

Sorry, but after last year's embarrassment at Neyland, nothing that comes from the world of Kentucky football (fans or media) should be taken seriously. Those a** clowns had the audacity to be confident heading into the game despite the fact that 1) they almost never beat us, 2) we were having our best season in a long time and found ourselves in the top 5 of all rankings, 3) it was in Knoxville, and 4) we had just scored the most points against Alabama of any team in the past 100 (ish) years.

In some of the dreadful seasons before that, I could possibly understand them feeling like they had a decent chance, but last season there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell they'd win the game. However, despite the many pieces of evidence telling them otherwise, their fans still acted the fool and transported themselves to an alternate universe where Kentucky is something more than an SEC football afterthought.

I can handle hopeful fans who are reasonable. That's what many of us were during the bad years, after all. But Kentucky fans are so jaded by losing and little man syndrome that they simply refuse to operate in the shared reality where the rest of us live.

They will suck.

I think Mark Stoops has done a solid job at Kentucky and if they are smart they will keep him around. Kentucky's football program has never been good but Stoops has at least made them mid tier competitive. They focus on basketball and the football program will always be an afterthought.

I’m really not sure what to expect this year, but knocking our team seems ridiculous. Seems there are so many reasons we should be better than last year with exception to QB, and even that could be inaccurate. We return 14 starters from an 11-2 team, the best arm in the country at QB that has now been in our system for 3 years and has seen respectable playing time, a very effective running back room has returned, we only lost ONE lineman to the pros, we returned one of our tight ends that I think will be clutch and added help there in the form of a projected NFL TE and one of the best TE recruits in his class, we added talent at a receiver group that beat the pants off of Clemson last year, our best LB returned with some others that flashed last year while adding depth in the form of a star of a Freshman and a solid transfer, our entire DL is back sans young, and our DB room is healthy and much deeper than before. On paper it seems as though we should be even better. The biggest question marks are Milton and the loss of Wright and DB. When is the last time we could say all of this?

Sadly we cannot joke about that anymore, Food City Arena or whatever that horse poop is.. TBA should have not changed
It’s still called TBA, dude, just with the phrase “at Food City Center” tacked on. We’re not talking about “Rupp Arena at Kroger Plaza” here; their football venue is literally just Kroger Field.

Devin Leary stats NCSt QB

Ok. He's really good. If he has time to throw, it will be a good game.
Far better rating than Levis and 35TDs with 5 INTs. Levis' stats were so pedestrian. Still a head scratcher. Their 3 leading WRs from last season are all Jr's, so they will be more potent than last season.

CRodriguez is gone and Kavosier Smoke transferred to Colorado (didn't know that happened). So they have a Sr with 259yds last season as their best RB. Shutting down their running game and QB pressure will decide how that game goes.
To be fair they did get transfer rb Ray Davis from Vandy who rushed for just over 1,000 yards last year. Not that it will make much of a difference, UT is and will always be UK's daddy.
