Just watched DK hit the last two shots of the second half to send game to OT. 12 pts. in 4Q. I think I may start watching the NBA again. Reggie Miller really impressed with DK.

Just hit his first 3 attempt of OT. Another 3! 30 pts., has last 19 Lakers pts.!!! Laker pt. guard seems to be trying to get the spotlight on himself and avoiding Knecht. But, Reddick designed inbounds play to feed DK and he knocks down another 3. Then gets a deuce. Now has last 22 Lakers pts. I never thought I would see the day, but I think I'm now a Lakers fan. Teammates mobbed him after the game.

Why didn't the Celtics draft him?

I was curious if he was truly going to go off like he did at Tennessee and wow he just did it in the NBA. I know preseason. Still he was on fire and shooting over everyone. I too am going to be watching more NBA now. We have several Vols in the NBA these days. Fun times.

The Sixers inexplicably took McCain from Duke and gave Knecht to the Lakers when Philly absolutely needed a high volume outside shooter. Still SMH.
I love DK and the 6ers are my team so I def wanted DK... but McCain is an outside shooter. He shot 41% from three at Duke.

Morey went with youth since he's 3 years younger than DK. Crazy to think about, but DK and Maxey are the same age. The age really factored into DK falling so far. A lot of teams will regret passing on him though!

Looked like Reddick watched some UT tape. How many times did we watch an inbounds play where DK came off a screen and nailed a 3 from the corner?

They seem to have absolute confidence in him already. He has clearly had the green light all preseason long.

They run sets for him etc…

He really did end up in a great spot after falling in the draft it seems

35pts / 10-18 from floor / 8-13 (!) From 3 / 7-8 fts / 7 rebounds

Also, his defense was decent. He did not look like a liability on that end. 2 steals / 2 blocks (including one where Bradley Beal put him in iso but Knecht shut him down)

Even before this, Lebron & Reddick have been very vocal and supportive of Knecht. It looks like he fell into a perfect situation there.

Ha! I actually watched this up until the 4th quarter and then went to bed.

Woke up this morning and checked the box score and was like, “wait, what?”
Same. He sat about 4min and i thought he was done.

Man, the highlights are pretty much Knecht doing Knecht things. I imagine the Lakers have seen enough after that one. When he is on like that you can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him!

Buying a Knecht jersey asap.
