No, you name them. There are many things that go into winning games including chemistry and playing together for significant amounts of time.We lost 6. I’ll start there.
If we have better rosters then we are getting out coached by lesser talented teams. Is that where this is going?
UCLA, Gonzaga, VT, Ohio State, Indiana off the top of my headNo, you name them. There are many things that go into winning games including chemistry and playing together for significant amounts of time.
You think there are better rosters out there let’s hear it.
No, those teams did beat us but they do not have better rosters. They have kids who have played together longer.UCLA, Gonzaga, VT, Ohio State, Indiana off the top of my head
No reason debating that, we lost head to head and those aren’t the traditional ones.
Intriguing.
Freak instructed us to not dream of other women until after the season is over. He is playing the grinch role.
Go Kellie!
Better roster won. We "might" have better players in Horston and Jackson. That does not mean we have a better roster. There is a difference. A roster is more than 1-2 players on a 15 player bench. You said better rosters! Perhaps you owe our players an apology.
Hire Tammi Reiss from Rhode Island
I'm a vol, but I also keep up with URI sports as a second team.
What she has done at URI is nothing short of a miracle.
I mean Rhody women's basketball was a hopeless wasteland, like perennial 20+ loss type of program and in two full seasons (not including 11-8 covid year) she won 22 games there for the first time ever and they now sit at 9-1.
They play a very smart well executed brand of basketball.
She has about as much charisma as you can possibly imagine, probably works as hard as anybody and has the background where she could handle coaching at a place like this.
Played at UVA, played in the WNBA, assitant coach in the WNBA, assistant coach all over the country including UVA and Syracuse. Also been in two movies lol.
Just wanna see what yall think.
I do hope Kellie turns it around though I do love her.
Nice try but no.Better roster won. We "might" have better players in Horston and Jackson. That does not mean we have a better roster. There is a difference. A roster is more than 1-2 players on a 15 player bench.
Sounds like you might be stepping into the boundaries of Kellie is getting out coached by lesser talented teams.
Finally I’ll take our 1-15 against almost every other program in the country, not just the top two players.
Or maybe she has a better understanding of her team than a random poster does and sees progress and wants to keep encouraging and motivating her team. So there’s that.I have no opinion on changing the coach. However, after the Virginia Tech game, Kelly Harper seemed so excited her team “almost won”! I was stunned how much positive information she was spewing after a loss. Her team was the talk of womens basketball to start the year, and they have been a flop (And they flopped before Key’s illness was discovered). I hope they can recover, but even after the Stanford loss, Kelly was so happy with their good “3-quarters“. At some point you have to be honest about your team.
You just can’t get logic can you.And you get 7-6 which is where we are. Numbers don't lie and to quote Bill Parcells — 'you are what your record says you are'
13 games into a season, practices, off season one on ones etc. Not sure how time you need. It's not trashing, it is just not letting excuses slide in year 4.
NFL isn't loaded with cellar dwellers week to week
That's the point. They can't hide behind a wrak schedule like college teams can OOC. And yet there are some terrible NFL teams even with draft picks, trades, etc.
You ought to concede that some NFL divisions are loaded while others are weaker. Just as there are some college conferences that are tougher than others that allow teams (and coaches) to pad their win-loss record. Doesn't mean some of those teams aren't really good, but it does demonstrate that records can be deceiving. If we had only played two ranked teams thus far and only had two losses, nobody would be complaining about "worst start in 40 years" even though the team would be exactly the same.
We'll see where we are in April and see how our finish compares to the last 40 years. I distinctly remember the Cinderella season, and I don't remember anyone complaining about the ten losses when the season was over. Then again, social media wasn't a big thing back then.
The point is 7-6. The Cinderella season also had 3 built ins, Summitt, Holdsclaw and year before National Championship as equity. 2022-2023 does not have those built ins.
It is, only thing that matters. Trying to turn/spin the quote and zig zag NFL schedules to NCAA basketball into a positive isn't the same. I'm pretty solid in that the 7-6 is the record in regards to the quote, that's the message. Here it is again for your records...So now you're saying that it's not just about wins and losses? This narrative keeps shifting so rapidly, requiring readers to have to fight through numerous screens to stay ahead of the new wrinkles.
I feel like I'm in a game of Royal Fizzbin.
