Well the bball board seems pretty dead and boring, so lets try to give it some life. We have four games left, and many people think we are now on the bubble and heading toward the NIT. However, Scotty Hopson seems to have finally tapped into his true potential, and Tobias seems to be back at least offensively. Can the rest of our team somehow find some sort of offensive and stay motivated enough to play good D? How do we finish?

I say

@Vandy - L
vs Miss St - W
@USCjr - W
vs UK - W

What say you Volnation? :dance2:

why so negative? you don't think being on the bubble will open some eyes and force more effort?

Nothing I've seen the last few games has given me any reason to be positive. But, one thing we do know about this team is that they're very unpredictable, so you may very well end up being right.

and i feel like they produce when they have something to prove. they know they can't afford too many more losses.

based on what we've seen recently, there isn't much of a reason to be optimistic. HOWEVER, if there are 2 things we have seen with pearl teams:

#1. they are predictably unpredictable.
#2. they play better as underdogs or when they feel they have something to prove.

which should translate into...

W @ vandy
L Miss St
L @ USCjr
W UK

which will get us solidly into the tourney.

if you are positive at all about UT, you obviously have no knowledge of sports in general.

There's nothing wrong with being positive, Scotty is playing his best ball and Tobias is still solid. I just don't see up being "more motivated" for these next few games than any other game.

The problem is Scotty's playing good ball, Tobias is playing good ball and we still lost to Georgia at home. That doesn't inspire confidence in me.

I think we'll go 2-2 and therefore have to make noise in the SEC tournament for a bid. I think we lose at Memorial and at Rupp. If one more players doesn't crap the bed against Georgia, then we win.

We don't play at Rupp. KY has road issues. We have a chance there. Frankly, we even have a very good chance at Memorial. It's not like poor shooting will be something different for us and having our coach farther away matters.

Seriously? I could have sworn that I saw we played there. Guess I just read the schedule wrong.

Before i would have said win most of them. But now Loss at Vandy and Loss to Kentucky at home. And Miss St played pretty good the other night at Rupp. They lost but if they play like that at Tennessee. This Tennessee just does not play smart. Looks like no leaders. I hope they will all of the games.

Losing to MSU? Seriously?

They have all types of problems but all kinds of talent. Another team that has a better pg and big than UT, though their kid looks a little lazy. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make an SEC tourney run. They prove that having talent sometimes means squat. Sidney, Augustus, Bost, Johnson, Steele--not a bad starting lineup, but Sidney and Ravern are poisons in the locker room.
