the last four games

They couldn't afford the GA loss. They must beat either Vandy or Kentucky and the other two, PLUS have a deep tournament run. Otherwise, NIT, which is how I see it right now.

On a side note, am I the only person who thinks Harris is outmatched athletically by most of UT's opponents? He is smart and can score, but has a difficult time rebounding and scoring over big, fast opponents. This of course, is the entire NBA so I don't think he's physically ready now or maybe ever if he doesn't get more explosive.

no. if we win 3 of our last 4, we are in. Only way we need a deep tourney run is if we lose 3 of our last four.

basically what i said... how much work though? 1 convincing win? or will we need two?

I'd say 1-3 with one win in Atlanta gets us in as about a 10 or 12. However, if we get hammered or something in the second game in Atlanta, it may be enough to knock us out.

based on what we've seen recently, there isn't much of a reason to be optimistic. HOWEVER, if there are 2 things we have seen with pearl teams:

#1. they are predictably unpredictable.
#2. they play better as underdogs or when they feel they have something to prove.

which should translate into...

W @ vandy
L Miss St
L @ USCjr
W UK

which will get us solidly into the tourney.

1 for 1. :)
