the last four games

I think people are underestimating just how bad UK has been on the road. Granted, we have been bad in general as well, but that game is very winable.

2-2. Like us on the road vs SC. Other win could come from any of the other 3. Like us to win 1 in SEC tourney and land a 10 seed.

1-3, teams only have to guard 2 men now. the others do nothing. we are in a world of hurt now. vandy will pour it on us. jenkins will go off for 30. sorry, but you asked

I think we need to go 3-1 or beat both KY and Vandy. That will take continued performance from Hopson and Harris + Williams, Tatum, and Goins stepping up and playing like they are capable of doing. That's a lot to ask.

It's only a lot when you are accustomed to being asked little.

Seriously, look at the Georgia game. Nobody else could give us more than 3 dang points???

Oh, I get it, but I don't get the impression that we demand very often that our guys do all the crap it takes to win. Scoring is a small portion and doesn't have to demanded. Everyone wants to do it, but our swingmen don't like to board and both are big. We tend not to focus on D and we go through the motions off the ball on O. That crap is a huge deal and we don't MAKE people do it, or at least try.

I'd also point out that Cam Tatum's shot selection has been utterly horrendous the last 3 or 4 games. You don't get yourself out of a slump by jacking up 35 foot contested threes.

Well the bball board seems pretty dead and boring, so lets try to give it some life. We have four games left, and many people think we are now on the bubble and heading toward the NIT. However, Scotty Hopson seems to have finally tapped into his true potential, and Tobias seems to be back at least offensively. Can the rest of our team somehow find some sort of offensive and stay motivated enough to play good D? How do we finish?

I say

@Vandy - L
vs Miss St - W
@USCjr - W
vs UK - W

What say you Volnation? :dance2:
I say 2-2. I wish I could believe 4-0.
Wins at Miss St and USC.
GO VOLS!

3-1 one no way. 2-2 at best unless we upset Vandy which i dont see, and i def dont see us beting Kentucky any time this year. They showed moments in the Georgia game, but not enough to make me optomistic.

Nothing else has, why would that? I hope we can get it together but I'm not confident.

+1000 If they have not gotten it by now, I don't think they will. Players and coaches all have said they need to play better for at least the past 8 weeks. Stop talking about it, and just do it.

I'm hoping they can go 3-1 or 2-2, but it's doubtful. I hate to say this, but I'm pretty burned out on basketball at this time. Not only are we not playing very well, I'm just waiting for the big rock to drop from the NCAA. I think after that, and we know what we're dealing with, we can move on.

and i feel like they produce when they have something to prove. they know they can't afford too many more losses.

They couldn't afford the GA loss. They must beat either Vandy or Kentucky and the other two, PLUS have a deep tournament run. Otherwise, NIT, which is how I see it right now.

On a side note, am I the only person who thinks Harris is outmatched athletically by most of UT's opponents? He is smart and can score, but has a difficult time rebounding and scoring over big, fast opponents. This of course, is the entire NBA so I don't think he's physically ready now or maybe ever if he doesn't get more explosive.
