I'm from the Kentucky side of Cumberland gap, about an hour from Knoxville, it's on the state line. All of our local channels came out of Knoxville, so Tennessee sports was always on the news. Basketball is what made me hate Kentucky, like around 7-8 years old. They had lost a game to Louisville, and there was a bunch of people at our house watching it. As a kid, I remember them saying the refs cheated and stuff, and I was saying they just got beat. There was just something about Tennessee though, waiting for the sports news to see updates, that Orange, I loved it. Not to mention, we constantly went to pigeon forge growing up.I'm curious, and maybe you've already discussed this, but how are you a Vols fan with family everywhere but Tennessee and you live in Georgia?
Thanks. Always wondered how people chose what team to root for when not necessarily being from that area. Like I'm going to really enjoy about 40% of all bama fans fading to other teams over the next 2-3 years cuz they're about to come back down to Earth. lol
I think I've heard this before on the FF once or twiceAnd I didn't always hate Georgia like I do now. Before they even won a recent title they acted like nobody could beat them. Georgia football fans are like Kentucky basketball fans. They never lose a game, ever. It's either the refs, or someone cheated.
