Not like we were running crazy complex plays (The Milton pass was deep but a simple route with 2 mins left)

I don’t think there’s a big difference between 59 and 66. They’re both blowouts. We had already made the yards for the stat sheet. I would have preferred taking a knee right there considering sportsmanship AND knowing how it would be perceived/spun by the media.

If Tennessee were ranked 18th it wouldn’t matter in the least. You definitely take a knee.

Heck Tennessee has been taking their foot off almost all year. However right NOW it absolutely matters.

Not Tennessee’s fault that 13th ranked D sucks!!!

Ohio State scored 56 today. We scored 66. It makes a difference in overtaking them for highest scoring offense in the country

The media does not matter. The playoff committee head said we needed style points. We got them.

It would be hard to argue CJH is unsportsmanlike. There have been a number of other games where he could’ve added to the blowout but didn’t. That said, the Committee by most accounts is looking for dominance in TN’s remaining games, and we showed them some today.

How do you feel about it?

Remember, style points matter now

There is no mercy rule in football. I am getting old and can't remember well anymore. I do remember a coach once was asked why he went for two because his team was up big and he said, "Because I couldn't go for three," When you have to impress a group of people who sits in a room and judges a team by wins, loses and style, you do what you have to, to impress them.
