The last thing you purchased

Maybe I'll try new shocks...that might be easier and less expensive than an entire new kit. They're stock shocks anyway, and the truck isn't an FX4 so no Rancho or Fox.

I'm definitely going to delete mine once the warranty is out... I just have to find the right exhaust/muffler combo as I don't want it louder than it is and I have zero interest in "rolling coal." Lol...it's fine for those who enjoy it; just not my thing. I want to do it for the long-term benefits: maintenance, performance, and fuel mileage.

Thirty-eights would be awesome, but I also pull a 5th wheel camper occasionally. I think there's a place when it would become too much for my particular set-up. What I added is Fuel Forged 22x10s with Toyo Open Country AT 35x12.5s. I'll probably go a little more narrow on the tires next time around (just to minimize the debris thrown onto the side of the truck), but I like this look right now.

You can buy the shocks seperate for your kit. That will save you some headache.

If you delete it, you will need to tune it. I can understand not rolling coal. As far as exhaust, they make a replacement pipe that goes where the dpf is. Stock muffler stays in place.

Deleting it is the best thing you can do. The engine will run better, perform better and you will gain 2-3mpg easily.

I run a 150hp tune and get 20-21 on the interstate.
I have a 250hp tune but I haven't messed with it.

If and when you get ready, I'd be more than happy to recommend proven tunes and delete kits for your truck

Example: a delete pipe and tuner (single stage, 75hp increase) roughly 500 bucks.
You can do it now and if the truck needs work, simply change out the pipes and return the tune to stock.

Then after the truck is out of warranty, do a complete delete. (Egr)

Yea, I think I'm gonna try shocks first. Even if I end up doing the ReadyLift kit, it will require shocks so I really can't go wrong.

I have a buddy that took the "delete" off of his truck and has given me the exhaust portion. He said it was "too loud" in the cab, but didn't try any specific muffler designed to lessen the noise. I watched some videos on YouTube of "Subman719" and he tried several delete kits and muffler combos before finding the right one. I'm thinking of my buddy's kit and the muffler used by "Subman" (I can't recall the exact one, but I have the link to the vid saved for when I'm ready).

As for a tune, I've read that guys find one that they like on their trucks and stick with it. Most I've read about use a "performance" tune instead...I think it's about 150hp as you describe. That's all I want...I don't have the need to rip and roar...lol...or roll coal. I will definitely be interested in some advice though...this is my first Diesel so I'm learning all these nuances.

I'm really interested in the fuel mileage increase....Cruise set on 70 (which no one drives) I was getting 20-21 before the new wheels and tires. At 75-77 range (more where I cruise) it's closer to 15 with the larger and wider tires--using cruise and AC. So, if by deleting I can get up to that 17-18 range at 75-77 I'll feel pretty good about it.

Those mpg's are easily obtainable.

A 150 tune will smoke some. Not bad, but some on hard acceleration.

I run straight exhaust. Mine isn't loud at all.

Let me know if you need any help man. I've been around Ford diesels since I could walk. Lol

I'll have to consider the different effects of the tune because I don't want the black smoke streaming down the side of my 5th wheel.

Ok, question... Did you stay with factory shocks or did your RC kit come with shocks? Mine didn't and that may be the difference. Shock recommendation for my set-up?

My kit came with shocks and a add a leaf.

When I get home I'll get you the part number for the shocks.
