Maybe I'll try new shocks...that might be easier and less expensive than an entire new kit. They're stock shocks anyway, and the truck isn't an FX4 so no Rancho or Fox.
I'm definitely going to delete mine once the warranty is out... I just have to find the right exhaust/muffler combo as I don't want it louder than it is and I have zero interest in "rolling coal." Lol...it's fine for those who enjoy it; just not my thing. I want to do it for the long-term benefits: maintenance, performance, and fuel mileage.
Thirty-eights would be awesome, but I also pull a 5th wheel camper occasionally. I think there's a place when it would become too much for my particular set-up. What I added is Fuel Forged 22x10s with Toyo Open Country AT 35x12.5s. I'll probably go a little more narrow on the tires next time around (just to minimize the debris thrown onto the side of the truck), but I like this look right now.
You can buy the shocks seperate for your kit. That will save you some headache.
If you delete it, you will need to tune it. I can understand not rolling coal. As far as exhaust, they make a replacement pipe that goes where the dpf is. Stock muffler stays in place.
Deleting it is the best thing you can do. The engine will run better, perform better and you will gain 2-3mpg easily.
I run a 150hp tune and get 20-21 on the interstate.
I have a 250hp tune but I haven't messed with it.
If and when you get ready, I'd be more than happy to recommend proven tunes and delete kits for your truck
Example: a delete pipe and tuner (single stage, 75hp increase) roughly 500 bucks.
You can do it now and if the truck needs work, simply change out the pipes and return the tune to stock.
Then after the truck is out of warranty, do a complete delete. (Egr)
