I'd say I'm out 3000 to 4000 dollars in the last two years. Since the gov. is so sweet I can claim $500 on my taxes

Much cheaper to teach HS.

I work in a good (not wealthy but good) school and our parents and admins supply the basics. Last year was my first year in K and you needs A LOT of stuff to keep 20+ 5 year olds engaged all day.

That, my tithes, and my car payment I really never regret. I'm pretty set for Kindergarten, so as long as I don't change classrooms this should be the last year that costs are so silly high.

A friend of mine teaches here in Memphis. She has bought clothes, jackets and even food for some of her students.

I have a bag of clothes I bought off another teacher (her daughter has outgrown them). I would give them to a little girl who didn't have anything.

How did it do?

From what I can tell, pretty solid. Just bought the car and it had been babied all it's life (gorgeous car) and had a serious bog/hesitation issue. i've been through the basics...cleaning the maf/throttle body/new filter. this seemed to restore a good bit of pep. Almost as if I had some gummed up injectors. I think resetting the ECU and IAV helped a bit too so the ECU could relearn my driving habits. I've been going WOT from time to time to try to clear out the years of buildup. Next step is new double platinum plugs.

Nothing sucks worse than when your ready to work and your equipment let's you down. I had a chainsaw I had just bought (won't mention brand but a cheap one) refuse to start. I'm pretty good at fixing things but 3 hours later it still won't start. I tried everything.

So I beat it into 50 pieces with a sledgehammer and went straight to an Ace hardware and bought a Stihl. Cranks right up!!

I have fixed a couple things in the same manner. Doesn't do much for the equipment but I feel a whole lot better. Lol

I'm a very patient man but when I reach that point.. I'm done.
