Random bump but I finished this up like a week or so ago. Just wanted to say it's excellent. Waited so long because I've not really cared for the last couple Star Wars movies at all but this right here is how you tell stories in that universe. Great show.

I’m torn on this. Love Dawson but Ashley Eckstein IS Ashoka Tano. Gonna be weird not hearing her voice.

Dawson is only 2 years older than Eckstein. But Eckstein is primarily a voice actor so she may not have been interested in doing a live action show.

Timeline wise, Asohkah was 16-17 at the end of the Clone Wars. I guess she will be 40-50 years old for Mandalorian.

Considering the Dark Saber, I bet Sabine Ren from Rebels will make an appearance too.

Something else to consider, Ashoka was one the voices that spoke to Rey in TRoS implying Ashoka was dead by that time. Granted there is 25 years until that takes place. Still, makes one wonder what COULD happen to here on the this show.

My guess it's the other way around. They wanted a more name actress to play the part.

Oh I agree. I didnt mean to imply Eckstein was offered first dibs. Clearly getting someone like Dawson to play the character is a big win for the franchise.

I dont doubt it. Ashoka is Filoni’s character. I think they are grooming him to take over these live action shows.

I still have 4 episodes left. I watch it with my kids but weather has been so nice last few weekends we have been outside a lot and got behind.
