The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Donald Trump wanted the Bidens to be prosecuted. He publicly pressured his Attorney General to make it happen BEFORE the 2020 Presidential Election ... which clearly indicates a political motive on Trump's part, since Joe Biden was his opponent in that election.

We discussed this yesterday, and I will say it again :

Just because William Barr wouldn't go along with what Trump was pressuring him to do, does not make Trump's efforts okay.

Do you know what hypocrisy means? It would seem not.

I'm not defending Trump's actions - just helping explain that a politician demanding a prosecution is not the same thing as a prosecution.

I understand that, and I'm pointing out to you, that a politically-motivated prosecution of Joe Biden would have been just fine with then-President Donald Trump and his followers if it had happened in October of 2020.

Only now that their roles have reversed, and Joe Biden is the President and Donald Trump is the challenger, do Trump and his followers suddenly object to a politically-motivated prosecution.

It's blatantly obvious hypocrisy.

Ginni Thomas is a Republican Party donor, and a conservative lobbyist. Should Clarence Thomas recuse himself from politically charged cases? It's a fair question.

She's not just a donor and a lobbyist, she's a radical conservative activist. She was active in organizing January 6--and yet Thomas did not recuse himself from a case or two related to Jan. 6 and the insurrection. Thomas has been a complete lightweight as a Supreme since the day he was sworn in, and as this example shows, he's show a tendency toward corruption.

This is completely accurate ... but the MAGA crowd on here will still whine about that judge's daughter anyway.

Here's the thing about the Trump indictment: There will be a trial, and as with most cases of all types in America, a jury will decide his innocence
or guilt. He'd better stop threatening the prosecutor and the judge or he's going to be getting more charges. I do think it very likely that we'll see other indictments against him, and fairly soon. There is the Georgia case related his attempts to subvert the election--and he's on tape trying to bully the state's top election official into "finding" him more votes, which would be felony vote fraud. And the special prosecutor has got two serious investigations going--one on the classified documents that Trump took and refused to return, and the other on the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Trump has always been a completely dishonest and corrupt man. FACT. He's always been a gangster, and he's gotten away with law-breaking and rule-breaking all his life. How anyone could still support or feel empathy for that man is way beyond me. We're talking about a man who was impeached twice. We're talking about a man who--as president!--lied blatantly for weeks about nonexistent vote fraud, tried to subvert a presidential election and then incited an attack on the U.S. Capitol that ultimately resulted in 9 deaths. There are nine people who would still be alive were it not for Trump--as president!--lying about vote fraud. And if you still want to believe there was vote fraud, you're beyond hope. He's a very bad character--as bad as we've ever had in politics in America. He's also a man who has a great affinity for dictators and who is quite fond on Putin War Criminal--America's chief adversay. That's treasonous.

Is that something a so called president should be joking about?
Once again, there is some hypocrisy here.

While he was President, Donald Trump regularly discussed having his opponents arrested. It's less clear that he was joking (although, to be fair, in a few cases he may have been).

Lmao .... everything goes back to Trump with you. You have TDS so bad it'll kill you one day.
You can't write a sentence in response to someone w/out going back & compare it to Trump.

Do you just copy paste but but but Trump or waste your time typing it out every time

LOL.

He was on Jimmy Kimmel's show. Is there a chance he was joking or no????
It's only a joke if it doesn't happen. When he says it, then it starts to happen, it suddenly becomes a lot more serious.

How many times under Trump did he say it, then opponents were actually arrested?

I'm sure you know the difference between talking tough and actually following through with it.

But I am about to go out and repaint the framing around the garage door. I stripped and primed it yesterday.

Don't feel bad. I planned to do other stuff today and not mow because I thought it was supposed to rain - guess it got delayed and I wasn't paying attention.
