The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Agreed. Obama's default of filling the conversational voids bothered me. Bush 1 was a disconnected speaker. Clinton was his opposite.

I routinely speak in front of large audiences, both with and without notes. There is an art to it. If I spoke like either Trump or Biden I would be booted from the rotation.

That is cool..and a gift

Muttering to yourself while looking in a mirror is not speaking in front of a large audience

Maybe.
But support doesn’t equal previous performance, performance, or potential performance. What does a popularity contest have to do with the better option?

Are we to believe the best-selling album is the best album?

The 4 years under Trump were a significant upgrade over the current Biden Regime. Any rational and reasonable observer will reach the same conclusion.
Trump ran his campaign as a popularity contest. That's how he won in 2016.
His dumb rallies were nothing but shows of popularity to feed his ego and radicalize his base. He prided himself in saying things like, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK? It's, like, incredible."

That's the voice of someone who knows he has nothing but a cultish following.
Isn’t all politics in a democracy a popularity contest?
I was responding to the post above.
But of course elections are a popularity contest; the issue is with how a politician attempts to increase popularity.
By division? By giving the opponent the middle finger? By policy positions? By a promise to work with the other side?
By a promise to obstruct the other side? By a promise to "lock her up"?

Sort of like being able to have your son openly sell influence to foreign contacts to get access to you and no one caring? Or like sexually assaulting Tara Reade and getting away with it? Please tell us more 😉
Yea, like that.
Now think........How stupid would Biden have been to say that publicly? What would that have said about his opinion of his followers?

Trump saying that was an insult to the people who support him, and they didn't even realize it; which I guess proves his point.
He could have prefaced his statement with "My followers are so dumb........."

We actually agree here. The means in which a politician persuades is important.

But what is more important, especially in a 2 party systems general election, is societies ability to critically think and choose the better candidate.

You chose wrong Luther. That’s not my opinion. Any reasonable observer would agree. Those not agreeing, aren’t being reasonable. Trump was the better choice given the options. Every day we suffer under the current regime supports that assertion.

It is like you forgot about Trump's speaking gaffes which were legendary as well.

Not just the pronunciation, but the pure idiocy. Everyone garbles their words once in awhile, but it takes a real idiot to think Frederick Douglass is still around or to congratulate the state of Kansas for KC's Superbowl win.

That is even less of a fact than me saying "Hillary was the better choice in 2016. We've suffered every day since Trump won in 2016. Any reasonable observer would agree."

But I completely disagree with the notion that we would be better off today had Trump won in 2020. We would be much worse off...but that is an opinion, you can no more prove it wrong than I can prove it right.

How are they getting around the statue of limitations in this case?

Good question. I want to say its 2 yrs for a misdemeanor.

One way could be he used those falsified records to file a NYC tax return and that likely is still open still due to IRS/NYS audits....

Wanna guess what genius made this quote…..
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed.”

If there's a figure that isn't a straight, white, Christian man presenting any view criticizing the left, the retweet button will be mashed into the ether because it's validating for straight, white, Christian men.
What is wrong with straight white Christian men btw?

Inherently, nothing.

It comprises the vast majority of your party. Though, I figured even you were mentally up to snuff to gather that from my post.

Instead, you think it's an assault on the character of your kind 🤣

"Evidence"

Lol. It would be kind of sad if it wasn't so funny.

11 million more votes than Obama in 2008? Joe Biden?? Come on. Look, the narrative sounds good, I get it. The narrative is, people hated Trump and they came out in droves. Only problem is, there isn't much actual evidence to prove that narrative correct. It wasn't picked up in historic bellwethers. Trump gained the most votes of any incumbent President. What is likely the truth? It is easy to ballot harvest in big cities, Covid allowed States to get away with massive mail-in balloting and most didn't have the necessary oversight to ensure the ballots were cast legally.

No, just wondering why you feel the need to lump people into groups you can more easily disparage.
