Nice try but Trump isn’t the lefty I’m referring to.
It’s absolutely hilarious that you went but Trump
#tribalHack
Don’t be discouraged by people who put on airs to try to score points on the imaginary politics forum scoreboard.
FWIW, I disliked Obama because of the proliferation of drone strikes, several instances where his admin suspended the writ of habeas corpus, reliance on executive orders to bypass congress, failure to close Guantanamo, failure to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and (although I didn’t otherwise) ballooning government spending. I’m sure there are others but I voted for McCain and Romney.
Despite all that, I’m widely regarded as a skeezy liberal around here, so yeah, I wouldn’t worry one wit about whether your opinions are sufficiently based on fact to satisfy the peanut gallery. A) Few of their will be and B) They’ll never be satisfied anyways.
The drone strikes are one of the more fertile grounds for substantive criticisms of Obama, IMO.
Ignoring actual **** policy to make superficial attacks on the basis of religion certainly not helping the “please stop calling us bigots” crowd.
He’s right (for once).
Aside from the drone strikes, which still weren’t really covered as much as they should have been in mainstream media, Obama got treated with kid gloves for the most part.
He did things that were ****ed up and were the precursor to some of Trump’s even more ****ed up things, but you didn’t hear about them. There are reasons for it that are more nuanced than just the media but it was undeniably part of it.
Nice try, but you clearly just misremembered who said that. kind of like you misremembered that I deflected criticisms of Obama, or that I even posted in the PF during his presidency:
Ilhan Omar has said some turdy things about Jews, maybe you’re thinking of her.
His level of competence, professionalism and knowledge isn't attractive to the new Republican party. Colin Powell probably could have succeeded W as the Republican nominee in 2008, but he wanted no part of it. Good for him I suppose. Maybe he sensed the coming ideological shift of the party?Hurd seems like the most serious person in either primary. Depressing that he isn’t receiving any attention.

Don't read up on him from right wing sights. Watch him in hearings. Research his public statements. Listen to him dissect an issueI’m not really read up on him either. I will be later tonight though
I think that’s true. He also suffers from lack of name recognition. His level of competence, professionalism and knowledge isn't attractive to the new Republican party. Lolo
Ok
No, I’m clear on who said what because I lost a good deal of my family tree in the Dachua concentration camp. At least that’s where they last were heard of. So Yes I’m hyper sensitive to it. And your inability to find it on google just proves my point. The leftist is buried and Trump is front and center.
I almost missed this.View attachment 569130
Tell me some more about selective outrage and false equivalence and how there wasn’t enough outrage about this comment (that was definitely not equivalent to the benefits of slavery) for anybody but you to remember who said it.
I almost missed this.
Nice of you to own that you’re a tribal hack.
I never said you said anything about Obama. I said “some people “ generally referring to the leftist hack. You believed that meant you. Lololol
Just stop. You’re embarrassing yourself. Can’t even remember what you said an hour ago.Not long ago some people were upset with President Obama after Trump was elected and you guys were all “muh but Obama…”
If you’ve learned anything from reading my post it should be that I’m not interested in what the left or right biases have to say. I’m perfectly capable of reading what the individual said.Don't read up on him from right wing sights. Watch him in hearings. Research his public statements. Listen to him dissect an issue
Edit: IMHO, he is far and away, the best man for the job. That includes both sides of declared candidates.
I didn't mean to insinuate you were reliant for info from RW sites. I've read your posts. I know, much like me, you dislike the direction both sides have taken the last 10-20 years. It was just an acknowledgementIf you’ve learned anything from reading my post it should be that I’m not interested in what the left or right biases have to say. An individuals Twitter is usually a good place to start
No we’re good. There is a distinct difference between you and the “whataboutism” crew that dominate both sides of discussion here. The thing is I’m a life long Democrat who became disillusioned with my party decades ago. I’m less tolerant of Democrats than Republicans because we were supposedly above all that when I was younger. To me the republicans are about what they always were. The Democrats are unrecognizable from what I believed as a young man. My beliefs have not changed.I didn't mean to insinuate you were reliant for info from RW sites. I've read your posts. What is it you like to say….”false equivalency”
If you’re going to hold one side accountable you should probably not be a hypocrite.
I personally think both instances are shameful and worthy of an actual conversation free of sound bite BS. There will not be growth without it. But I’m not on a side so that’s just wishful thinking.
Not long ago some people were upset with President Obama after Trump was elected and you guys were all “muh but Obama…” and now the tables are turned and you can’t STFU about Trump while ignoring your criminal and chief.
Meanwhile I’m overhear laughing at both sides.
HRC…..nothing is going to happen
Trump….nothing is going to happen
Hunter Biden……nothing is going to happen
The big guy, guess what…..nothing is going to happen.
Moderate Republicans and Conservative Democrats really are out of place in this extreme, echo chamberNo we’re good. Now read the rest of the sentence…help for those who are struggling with reading comprehension
