Really need to define "moderate republican".

This I agree with. Many would call me an extreme leftist when it comes to several social issues and a hardcore righty on fiscal. That's why people need to define exactly what is moderate. The problem tends to be most have no clue what a true classical liberal is.

Almost the same ideology. One has an allegiance to the Republican party and the other to the Democratic party. Liberal on social issues. Conservative to fiscal, monetary and defense issues. Of course there may be detailed and nuanced differences as well. Vehemently disagreeing on the details, but at the end of the day compromising with one another to enact legislation beneficial, to varying degrees, for all demographics in this country. At least attempting to do so
