That's effectively this sunday's sermon at 80% of the Southern Baptist churches in the south.

There was probably some speculation and questions to be asked about a few guys in flight training in the early part of 2001 if anybody asked and anyone else listened. We know some people crossing the southern border aren't from around our southern parts, but nobody is taking that seriously either. History is full of tragedy because somebody noticed and said something, but those with the ability to look and act did nothing.

You clearly don’t know many southern Baptist.
Some of the biggest SB I know, including my Nextdoor neighbor who is the preacher for one of if not the largest SB church in Chattanooga is NOT a Trump guy. That’s the problem I have with the left. Y’all tend to want to believe all people of groups you pick act the same way…..the way you think they should.
Like black people. …..and Jews……and the Southern Baptist church…..and on and on.

Try dealing with issues with out trying to straw man or in your case StrawChick, people into incorrectly defined groups.

When you say he's "not a Trump guy," do you mean he just doesn't comment, or does he have the courage to tell his parishioners that Trump is in fact a con man, not a true Christian, and morally bankrupt?

Big difference. And leaders of such organizations that are "not a Trump guy" cannot cower. They have a responsibility to tell those they influence the truth about Trump. Not just stay quiet.

I don’t attend his church as I’m a messianic Hebrew and not a “Christian” or member of the SBC so I can only speak to personal conversations with him.
I do hear him practicing his sermons while mowing his yard and I will challenge him on scripture when I hear something off. (You can imagine how much fun he’s had having me as a neighbor for 20 years) but what he says to me and seems to preach is “you shall be known by your fruits”. “Don’t put your faith in any political figure, watch them to know what they are about”.

Personally he’s expressed a dislike for the last 4-5 presidents individually but I think he leaves picking sides out of his sermons.

Like i said, should have taken the legit affidavits to court instead of the baseless ones. Or maybe even not lumped them in with 39,999 others and loaded them up in boxes.

You couldn’t be a bigger hypocrite. I’ll bet we could search and find several posts by you crying about preachers bringing politics to the pulpit. Even supporting removing the church’s tax exempt status and now you’re complaining about a minister not being political.

Trump is like jailbait for the a certain part of the right in this country. There's no way hes not in the next election, not because he's innocent, but because he seems to the perfect tool for giving his supporters enough rope to hang themselves with.

This is different.

Trump has no moral compassion of any kind. I don't care what religion you profess, Trump is the antithesis of every good value attached to it. He honors nothing. He has no redeeming quality whatsoever.

Every leader, political or religious, has a duty to counsel their followers to deny Trump another opportunity to steal from them yet again.

We have a sitting President talking about a kitchen fire that was fabricated while we have people missing in Hawaii. Might want to reflect on “moral compassion” or antithesis.

Just FYI, preaching politics from the pulpit is verbotten in the tax code and can lead to loss of tax-exempt status.

People like this scare the hell out of me. You (the general you, not you specifically) either have no principles or those principles are subject to however one "feels" that day. That leads to mobs. And mobs lead to very, very bad things in the end.

Trump is an A double-s. No denying that. But a hard no to turning our institutions on their heads ( like politics from the pulpit) to get him. Our principles, in this case, should be to teach the tenets of our various religions covering virtues and let people decide for themselves. But to do what you have just posted? No. Just no. You're supposed to be a lawyer and you cannot see how destructive the path you have professed can become? Seriously?
