Most of it was going to happen no matter who was the president, but you can’t flood the money supply with dollars like that and then act like you don’t know what happened.

I don't think it's that Nixon's actions were illegal. The issue seems to be it was on a larger scale then just 1 state...now the bigger issue is that as BB85 pointed out, the submitted documents in the states where charges are brought don't specifically state it contingent...but i believe their argument is that this was a way to get their arguments for contesting the election in front of the some entity that couldn't just ignore it.

Rudy Giuliani was at Donald Trump's Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club this weekend where he got a hero's welcome from the Bikers for Trump group.

The appearance comes ahead of a fundraiser Trump will host for Giuliani's defense fund after the former New York City mayor has racked up nearly $3 million in legal bills tied to his effort to keep the former president in office.

Giuliani popped up at the club to cheers from the MAGA crowd, posts on social media showed. He's coming off a tough few weeks where he pled not guilty in Georgia's case against him as a judge ruled he defamed election workers in that state.

He's expected to be back at the club on September 7 when Trump is the guest at a fundraiser for the Giuliani Defense PAC, per an invitation obtained by CNBC.


Donors are being asked to give $100,000 each to the PAC to take part in the event, which will include a roundtable with Trump and Giuliani, followed by dinner with Giuliani.
