If Freddie could make a putt, he'd have a 2 shot lead right now. I'm always leery of people that use long putters.

That and the "gut putter", a la Vijay Singh. The difference is, he can use it.

Good win for Phil. I'm happy for the guy. I think even Tiger had to choke back a few tears during the jacket ceremony. I know he loved playing 2nd fiddle there in good ole Butler Cabin.

Anyone remember that thread from last year (from an ESPN forum I think) where people were saying the Master's was fixed? Tiger didn't make that chip on 16 - it was animatronics in the greens!

That was the dumbest thing I think I ever read.

Well, it was fun to watch. Pretty good tourney and a lot of people had a change to win it going into the last round. I especially liked how the announcers were making excuses for Tiger.

I don't think anybody made any excuses for Tiger other than stating the obvious that his putter was cold as ice.

I believe I heard some mention about if his father had been there his play would've been better, easier to win for yourself rather than taking on the baggage of playing for someone else.

You're as cold as ice, you're willing to sacrifice our putt
You never take advice, someday you'll pay the price, I know

I've seen it before, it happens all the time
You're closing the door, you leave the world behind
You're digging for gold, you're throwing away
A fortune in feelings, but someday you'll pay

You're as cold as ice, you're willing to sacrifice our putt
You want paradise, but someday you'll pay the price, I know

Yeah, now that you mention it, I did hear that. I think it was pretty obvious on the back 9 that it just wasn't his time.

he just was'nt on that day, not much else you can say. I can't imagine the enormous pressure he must put on himself every time he competes, with all that fame and fortune to be under such close scrutiny every shot he makes must be perfect or the dynasty is crumbling chatter starts.
