The melt down that is happening on the Ole Miss message board

They were dicks in 2009 when I was down there. My wife, sister and I had 3 tickets (2 together and 1 single) and squeezed into the 2 seats together, which were on the end of a row. We were on the 50 yard line in a solid OM section and I set with one asscheck on the bleachers the other hanging off. They tried to get security to make me leave because I wasn't "supposed" to be sitting there even though it didn't interfere with anyone.

70+ old woman in front of us said something to us (no idea what was said cause it was loud) and my wife didn't hear her so she placed her hand on her shoulder and said "I'm sorry mam I didn't hear you" and the woman snapped and yelled "don't put your hands on me" and then hastily brushed her shoulders off like my wife infected her with a deadly virus.

Asked a couple people where the Grove was when we were in the bookstore pregame and they tried to direct us away from it just to be asses. One guy heard them and "corrected" it for us before we went off walking the wrong direction.

Their "class" and "sophistication" is an oxymoron given that they're from MS, which isn't exactly the bastion for modern society. Nevertheless, the state of MS does have some really good people and race relations have come a long ways there.

In their defense I would have made you move also. I hate it when people try to do this at Neyland or other stadiums I visit. 3 people for 2 tickets doesn't work even if you think you aren't bothering anyone, it's not your call.

Heck this year at Neyland I couldn't get 3 people into the 3 seats I had, and they were all together.

Having just moved to Starkville for school in August, and having the pleasure of visiting Oxford for the game this past year, I think the biggest difference is Starkville is much more blue-collar than Oxford. Which makes the people a lot more friendly. Ole Miss and Oxford are full of rich entitled pieces of sh!t who think their sh!t don't stink IMO.

They're fun as hell to mess with though whenever one acknowledges I'm a huge UT fan and a Miss St student.

I had a much better experience in Starkville in 2012 than Oxford in 2009 or 2014.

Starkville is good wholesome people IMO. I work in the agricultural industry and cover MS as part of my sales territory. With State being the land grant university, 98% of the people I deal with in MS are State grads so I'm biased towards those guys, who are all great.

We have the 2 seats on the end of a row. How does it hurt you If I'm sitting half on a seat half off? When you're 3 rows behind me nonetheless? I'm sure you ***** at people for standing too.

And you picked out 1 of my 3-4 issues I had down there. It started long before we got in the stadium.

I had 3 tix but only 2 seats there. But it wasn't the folks in the same row as us complaining. It was people behind us and across the aisle that were not affected one bit by seating arrangement.

This would have been because somebody in your row was sitting where he or she shouldn't have been and you had to suffer from it.

No I only held 2 tix for that section. 1 was a single. I just refused to leave my wife and younger sister alone at their first road game. I definitely tried to squeeze in where I shouldn't have been but no one in the row had a problem with it and understood. It's was morons 50 ft away sitting pretty who *****ed for no reason.

Ole Miss fans should worry about their state literally being the worst state in the Union (income, fatties, dieabeetus, illiteracy, etc) then where a recruit goes.

South Carolina is the worst. Their education system is God awful. I feel dumber crossing the state line.

If the people on your row truly didn't have a problem with it, then I don't see what the big deal is. Unless you happened to of asked every single person in your row, I don't see how you can say none of them cared. With that being said, the people sitting on the other rows should of just minded their own business, and kept their mouths shut too. Like you said, it wasn't affecting them in the slightest. More times than not though, people on your particular row would care and complain. That would be especially true if your wearing orange, and are the visitors in an opponents stadium.

Doesn't matter who has problem with it, you didn't have a ticket to be in that area. I am getting tired of people doing this at all sporting venues. You should have bought 3 tickets together instead of coming on here and complaining about opposing fans. You aren't entitled to decided if others are inconvenienced by how you decide to sit.

By the way I am not a blue hair. I am in my early 30s. And no I don't complain about people standing up because I stand a lot. I am just sick of other young people thinking rules don't apply to them.

I still fail to see how I inconvenience you if you're on the other side of the aisle and how it's any of your damn business. But once again you pick out 1 issue I had down there and run it into the ground. OM fans are notoriously snobby and that's a sentiment carried by many in the SEC. They were true to their colors in myriad of ways in 2009, not only because of the seating arrangement. Next time I'll consult you on my ticket purchases and come to you hoping you have 3 so I won't inconvenience you from the other side of the stadium. BTW, I'm sick of people who don't mind their own damn business and feel the need to preach. Who gives a **** where people sit as long as it's not affecting others around you. I ***** too if I'm squeezed out of my own seat by someone who shouldn't be there. But I couldn't give a rats ass what someone else does in another section, opposing fan or not.

I'm assuming if they didn't ask me to leave then I didn't hinder their experience. FTR, I didn't take a poll.
