He's not "sucking up" nor am I. We've had good conversation here with many Vol fans. If you would read all the threads before posting, you'd see many positive comments about McFadden on this board.

You're a guest. Pretend like you're in someone's house and act like it. There is no need to get inflamatory because you don't like what someone had to say.

It's true. However, we have an offense, too.

whose team throws it 40 times a game?

SC has 259 pass attempts for an average of almost 29 per game.

UT has 281 pass attempts for an average of a little over 31 per game.

It's a difference of less than 2.5 attempts per game.

Nice try, though.

Glad someone said something. Rice has sucked this year. Meach has been nothing but solid. Arkansas just better hope they don't play man on him.

Well we're screwed then because that seems to be the only defense we know how to play and it drives me crazy! For example, we played man against South Carolina and Rice tore us up because Chris Houston (CB) was left all alone on him. We finally switched to a zone at the end of the game and that's when we made that INT. So I have a feeling that if we play man on you guys we are going to be finished. And plus our D doesn't have much depth.

Yes, your secondary will be cooked in man. Not only because your CBs will be beaten, but because it seems our passing game has had far more trouble when teams have run a semi-complex zone against us.

ok, recently...who throws 40 times a game. Besides TENN had 3 big time WR, USC barely has 2.

For some reason Reggie Herring doesn't feel the need to switch to zone even when we are getting beat up and down the field. Especially in the 4th quarter when our corners are exhausted. And you guys have by far the best passing game we've seen.

Agreed. But if the corners don't have to come up for run support, which could easily be the case, they won't be working as hard.

That's true. But I would feel more comfortable if we had some help over the top. Heck even some kinda modified man zone would be nice. Our secondary hasn't been too impressive all year and the fact that our starting FS Grant is out complicates matters.

McFadden will quickly move up from that #7 spot if he has a good game vs. the Vols and LSU. He's finally on the radar and will only rise.

28 -13 Hogs

How are your linebackers playing this year? I was on the way back from Kville Sat and missed most of the SC game.

Pretty good. Our stud Olajubutu was full speed last week, but he should be better this week. We have a back up safety starting on the outside (Hewitt), because our starter Freddie Fairchild was hurt early in the season. And other LB is Weston Dacus. They have been doing pretty well. I'm interested to see if Hewitt will move back to Safety or stay at LB this week.

What happened to Desmond Sims?
