The Destructive and Irrational Trump Budget

President Trump Unveils Reckless, Irresponsible Budget and Infrastructure Proposals

James Jones: Pandemic Isn't an Excuse for Reckless Spending | Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget

^^^^ Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget ^^^^

It's only May and the federal deficit is higher than it was in all but five full-year deficits in U.S. history

^^^^ Newsweek ^^^^ ... and this is from May of 2019, before the COVID pandemic.

Trump fails at fiscal responsibility

^^^^ Associated Press ^^^^ .... and this is from April of 2019, once again, pre-COVID.

I said that I would post 5 links. Here they are.

Donald Trump's budget proposals were unnecessarily bloated. The economy didn't need it. His fiscal policy was reckless. That is not conjecture.

Thankfully he was replaced with a a fiscally responsible POTUS.

It's nice of you guys to feed into @BowlBrother85 's hypocritical whataboutism. I mean, this thread isn't even about Trump, yet your allowing him to discuss Trump. Normally, any attempt at discussion with him ends in him whining about whataboutism and how what you're talking about has nothing to do with the thread topic. You know, the very thing he's doing in this thread.

Again, nothing of substance and all opinion and conjecture. The only thing Trump did fiscally irresponsible was give people money during Covid.

That is not true.

There were a multitude of facts, including relevant financial data, provided throughout those 5 links, which you obviously didn't take the time to read. It is a fact, that Trump added $7.8 trillion to the debt, and that a majority of that was done before the COVID pandemic began in February of 2020. You are demonstrating both a profound ignorance of the subject matter, and a stubborn unwillingness to examine the content of the provided links... and, of course, admit when you are wrong (which you definitely are.)

This began as I was responding to a post, which had already taken the thread away from the topic.

To be fair it’s like the Joe achievements thread , after the first page it’s going off topic or die . Other than the gator troll thread started , nobody is going to defend this fascist agency.

National Debt by President

^^^^ This link doesn't provide any editorial commentary. It just provides the National Debt by US Presidents.

Now, any idiot, except maybe for you ... can look at this and see that Trump was being fiscally irresponsible, long before the COVID pandemic began.

I don't care what the topic of the thread is, when someone tries to make the ignorant claim that Trump was only fiscally reckless because of COVID? I will correct the record. That is ungodly stupid. The fact that nobody, other than myself, has taken issue with that shows how tribal this place has become.

You have serious issues..no where near the somewhat humorous and reflective BB we had years ago. One would think you would be happy as a lark with your boy in office.
It is interesting how angry he seems these days. Really doesn't make a lot of sense since - as you pointed out - his boy is in office.

Do you want this place to become nothing but an echo chamber for Trump-bootlickers, where stupid things like ....

"The only thing Trump did fiscally irresponsible was give people money during COVID."

.... are left completely unchallenged?

You’re the only one still hammering away

Uhhh.... No.

I'm the only one who ever hammered away. This forum has become an echo chamber for Trump supporters. You can post any fabricated line of bull on here now. It will get nothing but likes, as long as it is favorable to Trump.

Just chill. Let it be. There's a lot more nuanced discussion and variety of viewpoints once you let the rest of it turn to background noise.

He's never been interested in "nuanced discussion". There's a reason he doesn't talk about Biden and spends his days continuously attacking a guy no longer in office. He's just as much a "bootlicker" as those who continuously defend every Trump action, he just licks the boot of the other side.

That sounds kind of dirty...

I get it, I do. We've gotten past talking about Killery, er, Hillary; he should drop Trump the same way.

This doesn't make much sense... and you seem to be contradicting yourself here. "Bootlicking" refers to giving an excessive praise of, or an unconditional defense for another person. A bootlicker is a sycophant.

Who would I be "bootlicking", exactly?

Yes, you are a sycophant of the left. You blindly follow the agenda, unable to put aside your bias for honest conversation.

That is a lie.
You mean the part where the dems accused Trump of colluding with the Russians and it was the dems that were colluding with the Russians?

Or was it the part where they accused Trump of using the presidency for financial gain? Nope that was Biden. Remember the 10% for the big guy?

Or was it the time when the dems went after Trump for black mailing the Ukrainians? Nope that too was Biden, on video bragging about it.

Or was it when the dems used illegal wire taps in an effort to frame Trump?

Or maybe when the dems denied the existence of the laptop, called it a conspiracy theory and all levels of government tried to cover it up with the help.of the news media? Was that fake news?
