The Ministry of Truth thread

The fiscal recklessness evident during the Trump administration did not begin with COVID. In fact, it was mostly done at a time when the economy was very strong. That is a lame excuse.
If you really want to expand it past covid, then you are going way before trump. Anything else is silly and partisan trash.

We either look at the absolute extreme, and it's covid response or we look at the problem of ignoring deficits and trump is merely a small factor.

No... I didnt say that it had no impact on inflation at the macro level.
Ah, I found the one I was thinking about. You’re right, you didn’t say exactly that but you did say pretty much the same thing. See below. So what exactly were you saying? I can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics on this one.1E25E10C-E46C-4F5C-B94B-864C74912587.png

Literally everything in that article is conjecture. Congrats for proving nothing.
I can post links detailing Trump's fiscal recklessness until the cows come home, and my next post will include 5 more links ... but just to be clear... that Trump was responsible for adding $8 trillion (actually, it was $7.8 trillion) to the debt is not conjecture. That is a fact. (.... and this was mostly done at a time when the state of the economy didn't necessitate fiscal stimulus)

A person who will argue that Trump wasn't fiscally reckless, will argue anything.

Don’t you want to wait before going all in until the current administration gets done ? I don’t know what the totals are going to be before a Republican takes over again , but it’s been tough having Dems spending for right at 13 1/2 years now . Obama - 8 years, Trump 4 - years , Biden - 1 1/2 . You know Trump was a Democrat right ? 😂

It's the response you end up with after an office holder who couldn't go more than three sentences without uttering "Fake news!'

Do I like it? No. Do I agree with it? No. Do I think it's needed? No. Do I see how we got here? Yes.
As time goes on most of the time when he said it was fake news, it's been proven to be fake news.

The Destructive and Irrational Trump Budget

President Trump Unveils Reckless, Irresponsible Budget and Infrastructure Proposals

James Jones: Pandemic Isn't an Excuse for Reckless Spending | Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget

^^^^ Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget ^^^^

It's only May and the federal deficit is higher than it was in all but five full-year deficits in U.S. history

^^^^ Newsweek ^^^^ ... and this is from May of 2019, before the COVID pandemic.

Trump fails at fiscal responsibility

^^^^ Associated Press ^^^^ .... and this is from April of 2019, once again, pre-COVID.

I said that I would post 5 links. Here they are.

Donald Trump's budget proposals were unnecessarily bloated. The economy didn't need it. His fiscal policy was reckless. That is not conjecture.

Not as far as this discussion is concerned. @FLVOL_79 is suggesting that Trump wasn't fiscally irresponsible. That has nothing to do with Joe Biden.

That is a lie.
You are full of ****

The Steele dossier has not been discredited at all... to the contrary, 70% of it has been confirmed as accurate. Comey said no such thing in his testimony about the dossier. As for my IQ? I'm not sure. However, I am a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee (class of 1996) and also a VERY STABLE GENIUS. :)
