The Ministry of Truth thread

The inflation has been caused by poor economic policy around the pandemic. Rather than allow natural economic contraction, we created a bubble.

Absolutely. Shutting down the big machine, creating pure fear of everything normal for political gains , and hading out money in the hopes it won’t crash the economy , will never be the right thing to do . There are few choices that are worse than that .

That is dumb. The poster claimed that the only reason that Trump was ever fiscally irresponsible was due to COVID .... and that is a lie. Trump's fiscal recklessness pre-dated the pandemic.
You’re incompetent and inconsistent.
If trump only robs one bank and it was just because of Covid then he’s a bank robber. That’s the problem with the left. It’s the shifting standard that you apply differently as it suits you.

Actually, I was quoting someone who absurdly claimed that the only time that Trump was fiscally irresponsible was during the COVID pandemic ... That is dead wrong, and the data which I have linked proves that. So, he is at 1.
So you're saying he should have refused to sign any democrat majority supported bill that came across his desk?

We are not recovering from a pandemic, we are trying to recover from the overreaction to and complete mismanagement of a pandemic.
You still have some restaurants that won't give you an actual menu because of all this.

If true. Then 50% of his added debt was under pandemic....seems his spending while bad was on par with others up to that point.
$8T from a guy who claimed he could easily eliminate the national debt. Don't forget he also pledged trillions more of reelected

According to this 5.7 trillion added tonhis debt was 2020 and 2021...meaning his spending was higher then we would like before. BuT not outta the realm of pervious administrations.

I'm the one in this debate talking about Trump's pre-COVID budgets, which is what @FLVOL_79 's posts concerned. You are the one attempting to shift this subject towards an inapplicable hypothetical scenario. So, it is YOU who is trying to shift the discussion away from what FLVOL_79 was truly talking about.

@FLVOL_79 , was clearly making the argument that Trump's budgets were fiscally responsible, prior to the start of the pandemic. That is false. Trump's budgets were unnecessarily bloated from the beginning of his presidency.

This is yet another example of a poster who stubbornly refuses to admit when he is wrong, and just has to get the last word in.

Fixed your post.
You are simply once again trying to make a quote say something it doesn’t say.
The quote literally says Trump was irresponsible. The fact that he attempted to make an excuse for that irresponsible behavior does change that it’s admitted irresponsible behavior.

You could not work for me. I don’t employ dishonest people.

^^^^ This is when I get frustrated with some of you. ^^^^

You know damn well that Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress during Donald Trump's first two years in office. Spending bills in 2017 and 2018 could not have passed without significant Republican support, and they could not have become law, without Trump's signature. So why did you say this?

No, you are obviously trying to split hairs and get the last word in, just like a child.

The quote says Trump was only fiscally irresponsible during the COVID pandemic, and that is dead wrong. Trump's fiscal recklessness pre-dates COVID. That is the whole point.

Grow up.

Ok, I have to know what goods or services are fixed price?
Unfortunately for me, my salary. As a contractor, my pay is locked at its current level until next renewal/renegotiation. Until that point, I am a fixed cost service while I sit a and watch my savings and my purchase ability decrease by almost one percent per month.
Thanks Biden voters 😡

Actually the point was that 0812 said he didn’t know anyone who thought trump was responsible. You quoted someone saying trump was irresponsible as a point to prove someone thought trump was responsible.

This is what you do

I leave you to your tribalism and dishonesty.
Good day

... and FLVOL_79's posts made it very clear that he felt Trump's spending budgets were fiscally responsible prior to the start of the COVID pandemic.

You accusing someone else of tribalism doesn't show much sense of self-awareness on your part.

Most contracts have a 30 day out, I’d look into it and request a renegotiation.
