The Mizzou game scares the heck out of me

I was a little worried about Kentucky and I’m obviously a bit more worried about Georgia. I still think we win if the OL line holds its own and I’m encouraged with the secondary’s improvement against Kentucky. Maybe everything is starting to jell for the secondary.
I had no fear of UK. They always find a way to screw it up against us. UGA is good but I swear I think we’re better, which is wild to say given the talent disparity between the rosters. They have a better roster but we have a better team.

I know the mass NPC response will be "Georgia is first," but I'm looking ahead to the Mizzou game with dread. Just look at their game results from this year. Every single SEC loss has been by a touchdown or less basically. The thing that sticks out to me is they have sucked everyone they have played, Georgia included, into low scoring defensive struggles. And that's not even taking into account the fact that we embarrassed them last year and they'll be highly motivated to come in here and try to ruin our dream season. If we play our game and jump on them early we should win easily, but that game has trap game written all over it for a lot of different reasons.
For one thing, Missouri lost to Kansas State 40-12. Why didn't you want to mention that?

For another thing, this is weird. We are playing Georgia, the undefeated, defending champs on the road in 3 days ... but you start a thread about being scared of a 4-4 team, who we are playing at home ... that only beat Vanderbilt 17-14 last week ?

I'm sorry, but this is just plain stupid.

In this game, anything can happen. Yes, the team had better take that game seriously. And they will.

Mizzou?

Tennesse beat them 62-24 at their place in CJH's first year. C'mon man. They're a poor man's Vandy, even the same colors.

Nobody has figured out how to stop the offensive scheme yet. Until they do I believe we have a very good chance of winning against the top tier teams. But there is not one team including UT that cannot be beaten. It comes down to which key
Matchups (ex. Ga DL vs UT OL) win that will determine the victor. This game be close or it may be a decisive victory by either UT or Ga. That’s why you play the game.

I said this last week in the Kentucky threads, but it’s worth repeating… all year Heupel and the players approach the each week, each opponent as if that is the most important game on the schedule. I don’t see them altering what’s been working now…

I’ve had SERIOUS BVS…..and I feel that they could easily lose to UGA, however, they will not have trouble with the other three on the schedule. May not win all by 40, but I’m going to say 21+ point, never-in-doubt games.

The toughest game the vols will face all year mentally was Kentucky. That was the biggest trap game possible. A ranked and inspired Kentucky the week before number 1 ranked Georgia; while we r ranked 3. Vols had everything to lose in The Kentucky game. Everything was against them; they played sloppy offensively and still scored at will
