The Month of May

Well one of the best weekends of the year is upon us.

We are leaving early tomorrow morning and going to stop at the Vette museum on the way and check out the cars they pulled from the sink hole.

For some reason the Indy 500 this year seems to have a bigger excitement level surrounding it, at least for me, I can't wait until Sunday. Anyone going?

I'm getting there. I haven't kept up very well with the practices this year.

I think some of it is JPM being back, Kurt Busch running the double has added some interest and as much as I don't like the qualifying format it did add some drama which is what gets people to tune in.

I am headed out tomorrow morning. This will be 7th 500.

Yeah if the rules package is the same as last year's it should be a good race. Indy is on my bucket list, I really got to do that some day. Who are you pulling for?

The good thing about the rules package is it makes for a lot of passing in turn one which is were we sit. We got to see a lot of action last year. Watching some of the practices this year there was quiet a bit of passing in turn one again which is good for us.

As far as who I pull for.. I like Rahal, gotta like Newgarden (he's a TN guy), Helio is hard not to like too. Really I don't have one particular driver. I just enjoy the race.

Yep I was there last year, and will be heading up tomorrow!

I want Sato or RHR.

JV, jpm or KuBu would be fun too.

Crowd would go nuts if Busch won.

I really wouldn't mind seeing Helio join the elite four time winner club with the throw back paint and helmet.

Wicked crash in today's Indy Lights race

Race cars always seem to find the worst places on track to hit it seems.

Man o man. The national anthem gets me pumped!! America is a great place to live! If you don't agree, send me a pm and I can send you graphs and pie charts confirming this!

Go Sato!!!!

Had a great time as always at the 500. The Carpenter wreck was right in front of us. Got to watch that wreck from start to finish. Including Carpenter getting out of car.

Hence the reason I no longer go to the Coke lot.

for years we parked at a school near there and walked through the Coke lot - was a long dang walk with coolers full of oat sodas. We perfected the 2 person switch hands cooler move in that lot.
