Radiation from enriched uranium is normally quite easy to find.

How do you think they monitor how much radiation people have been exposed to in a nuclear plant?

Oh, I didn't know nuclear weapons were the only WMD's possible?

The real threat everyone fears is a suitcase nuke being manufactured in Iraq and Iran and brought into this country by a terrorist group.

Iran was the real nuclear threat not Iraq. Bush not only made a mistake going into Iraq, but the weakened image of the US military has made it easier for Iran to continue there real threat of a nuclear weapon. Most people believe the U.S. cannot have a war on 3 fronts in Iraq, Iran, and Afghan without increasing the military i.e. draft. Which Bush doesn't have the support to do.

Not sure what any of this has to do with how difficult it would be to find something hidden in a country.

you were asking why nuclear weapons are considered the WMD we were looking for and not others.

No, I asked if nuclear weapons were the only WMD possible? After you stated how easy nuclear weapons were to find due to radiation. So what is the easy method to find other WMD's?

There are no WMD's. It doesn't matter what method you use. When you capture part of the Iraqi Military who were in power, people like "Chemical Ali," waterboard them, and they can't tell you where any WMD's are. Its pretty safe to assume they aren't any to find.

Your best reasoning.

Your best reasoning.

If Chemical Ali and Saddam Hussein couldn't tell the U.S. military where they were, its safe to assume no one else in the country is going to be able to either. That's because there aren't either.

So why is Chemical Ali, "Chemical" Ali? He's doing work for Pfizer and Novartis?

They used chemical weapsons in the Iraq/Iran war. Thats the only thing that kept Iraq from losing. Thats been well documented.

Then they completely gave them up because they are good people?

Why do you think they didn't use them on U.S. troops when they invaded Iraq? Because they are good people?

No because they didn't have any. If Saddam and Chemical Ali arent able to tell you where they are under torture, its because there aren't any.

Probably because they had already moved them and/or they were completely overwhelmed by a superior force and barely had time to find their hiding places.

So you KNOW there were not WMD's and you KNOW Saddam was tortured. Where do you get all this info?

I know that if there were WMD'S, 1. they would have used them on troops invading Iraq, 2. Saddam would have known where they were and U.S. military would have been able to get that information under interrogation/torture.

I guess you believe the U.S. isn't waterboarding terrorists to get information out of them too.

No military pro here, but I believe by the time any major amount of US troops were on the ground, Saddam and any semblance of his government were scattered, hiding, and doing anything but attempting to form a plan to fight back. Thus a good reason as to why they were not used. Again, proof Saddam was tortured?

don't know and i really don't know if i care anymore. they all seem to suck. i'd like to see a combo of colin powell and wes clark, but that would never happen.

Well since your not capable of deductive reasoning, its probably going to be difficult for me to proof to you that Saddam was tortured. :p But if you were it would something like this.

The U.S. military interrogates/tortures high level POW.
Saddam is a high level POW.
Saddam has been interrogated/tortured.

The new president will need to somehow appease the "dixiecrats", and I haven't really seen that candidate yet.

Using your style of deductive reasoning.

Iraq has used WMD's before
The same people were in power
Thus Iraq had WMD's

There was an interesting program on Frontline discussing the CIA and Bush administration discussions before invading Iraq.

Do you know when this aired? Will look for a re-air. Frontline is the best news magazine show, IMO.

Yeah it makes alot of since to have wmds and not use them knowing that one way or another you are going to die. Yeah I think I would just sit on them rather than use them makes a whole hell of alot of since doesn't it.

About 6 weeks ago. It was one of the most interesting news programs I had seen in a while. I hope they re-air it.

The question for the GOP is going to be energizing their base with this crop of candidates that up until now have been uninspiring. I guess if this trend continues they can always hope that the Dems nominate Hillary which will energize the GOP base for them.
Hillary getting the Dem nod makes the election a referendum on her. Firing up the GOP base will happen with Hillary on the ticket. That in itself won't win Ohio. Dems unwilling to vote for Hillary will make the difference.
