The odds of Boise State putting a total beatdown on Georgia?

Boise would've beaten UCF by 30 last year.

Possibly. Boise was just as good as TCU for the entire season if not better, but thanks to one of the most horrific blowups by a kicker in recent history it doesn't matter.

Probably. And I think they would have beaten Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and maybe Florida or Georgia last year as well.

(Oh, I'm going to get it from the SEC homers for that one)

But this is 2011.

I'm pulling for the SEC in this one.

As am I, but I believe that this year for UGA is going to be a lot like 2008 was for UT. If they start 0-2, and I am becoming more confident that they will, the season could easily spiral out of control from there. However, I will gladly eat my crow if I am wrong.

And that game was six years ago when Boise wasn't Boise yet. Good logic.

ummm

2002 Western Athletic Conference 12–1 (8–0)
2003 Western Athletic Conference 13–1 (8–0)
2004 Western Athletic Conference 11–1 (8–0)

As in Boise hadn't become the routine national championship threat and they weren't getting respect from the national media.

And your point is?

MaehlMan is acting like Boise is a juggernaut and UGA is Vandy in red and black.

I was pointing out, to the duck fluffer, that Boise didn't fare very well the last time they went to the state of Georgia for a game.

Zabransky had just as much, if not more, attention as Moore does.

Boise was a damn good team last season that was easily one of the ten best in America. Georgia was a very mediocre team that finished 6-7.

Boise returns more players than Georgia this season.

Routine national championship threat? They have not even played in the National Championship game. When they do, I put 10:1 odds on whomever they are playing to win by three scores.

And last season means what to 2011?

I don't think this game will be a blow out but I do believe Boise wins it.

I just think it's funny you don't think UGA isn't a big time SEC school.

not sure. who have they played with georgia like talent? not oregon or vtech certainly. that isn't to say i'm suggesting those were worse teams than georgia, but just that they are more manageable opponents physically than a team like georgia.

Big time historically? Sure. Big time as of right now? No. Their program is mediocre right now. Same goes for UT. UGA has below-average coaching and lots of talent that hasn't panned out. Boise is one of the best-coached teams in America, and they get the most out of their players.

It's hilarious that you're trying to say that a game that happened in 2004 matters in 2011, but then you try to make me sound stupid for using last year as a comparison point to this year.

They haven't played anyone with Georgia-like talent since the '07 Fiesta Bowl.

Boise get the most from its schedule, not its players.

They definitely benefit from their schedule. They wouldn't be nearly as successful in any major BCS conference. However, they get up for big games against more talented opponents and almost always win them.

I think Boise will win.

Crowell could impress as a true freshman, the job is pretty much his.
