Big time historically? Sure. Big time as of right now? No. Their program is mediocre right now. Same goes for UT. UGA has below-average coaching and lots of talent that hasn't panned out. Boise is one of the best-coached teams in America, and they get the most out of their players.
It's hilarious that you're trying to say that a game that happened in 2004 matters in 2011, but then you try to make me sound stupid for using last year as a comparison point to this year.
If by most out of their players you mean teaching them the fundamentals of reading and writing to keep them eligible I agree.
Boise isn't going to come in and out talent anyone in the SEC (exception Vandy), PAC-12 (exception Washington State) or Big 10 (exception Minnesota).
I'm not saying matters. I'm saying BSU is 0-1 vs Georgia and probably aren't going to be taking this game lightly.
You're acting like UGA is some God awful team. I think it's funny.
and let's face it. stoops should have won that game by 2 tds.
And Stoops>Richt.
But they beat Oklahoma in 2007!!!!
Listen-I don't like Boise either. Losing to them twice didn't help, but their fans are annoying, and they constantly whine about being left out of National Title contention. I can't stand them, as a matter of fact.
But there's no denying that they hold their own against AQ teams when they play them in Boise. I know that they have an advantage because they don't have to play these teams more than twice per season, usually, but trust me, they can play.
Was their opener in Boise last year? Was the '07 Fiesta Bowl in Boise? Was their win against Oregon (a team that finished in the top 10) in '08 in Boise?
the fiesta was oklahoma simply thinking bosie was a joke. bet that wouldn't happen today. oregon went through what 4 qbs that day? and didn't one throw like 3 ints and boise still barely won?
3. Masoli got knocked out of the game with a concussion, then Chris Harper came in and threw 2 picks in 3 attempts. Thomas came in at the end, which started out as garbage time (Oregon was down 37-13 in the 4th quarter) and lit up Boise. He threw 3 TD passes in the fourth quarter, and we ultimately lost 37-32.
Remember when Zabransky (sp?) was Boise's QB, and folks were predicting they would go to Athens and beat UGA?
UGA handed Boise their potato eating a$$e$...expect more of the same this fall.
And your point is?
MaehlMan is acting like Boise is a juggernaut and UGA is Vandy in red and black.
I was pointing out, to the duck fluffer, that Boise didn't fare very well the last time they went to the state of Georgia for a game.
Zabransky had just as much, if not more, attention as Moore does.
