The Offical Selection Sunday Thread

The comment about TN not having any big wins down the stretch is puzzling.

I didn't know beating a top 12 team (in the committee's mind, since UF got a #3 seed) isn't a big win.

Yes u did. U attacked me for not believing in jerry palm over lunardi. Told me I knew nothing about basketball. Youre constantly on the attack of martin questioners.

Because you don't, and your continued idiotic posts only further support that statement.

This sucks. We can now expect another one and done in the nit. The Vols must have a good offseason, regroup, and play better next year. Nothing else you can do really.

I have had u and others shoving CCM and the late season run down my throat for the last 12 or so games. Couple that with the "we are getting in the tourney" because this bracketologist says so and this bracketologist always changes his bracket to get ratings.....

Any criticism I made this year of CCM and Vols was met with over the top attacks against me.... So no, I will not chill out! I will take my shots just like you and others have taken at me this basketball season.

It shouldn't be possible to shove success in your face. Any real Vols fan would just celebrate along with the rest of us. But that's not what you do. And here you are shoving defeat in our faces. We appreciate it.

This is ridiculous because MTSU had a strenght of schedule of 129 and still got in. Cuonzo STILL has never got a team in the NCAA tourney and that includes his time in the Missouri Valley Conference. Hubbard and Maymon will be here so he better get it done next year. That's all there is to say. It was right there in front of them even after the 2nd Georgia loss and they didnt even have to win the conference just not get put out too early. Next year is the year. If Cuonzo cant get in the tournament next year with the talent that will be here then he never will. Other teams are going to start talking and using Cuonzo's lack of a NCAA tournament appearance against him in recruiting if they havent already.

Second UGA loss was more impactful than UF win in our late season run. I dare say that if we had beaten UGA, we would be dancing regardless of SEC tourney. Just because we would have won on the road.

That's not what he said. He said UT had no "power wins". Which simply isn't true.

Last few years the committee has over-compensated looking at mid-majors. For years mid-majors often got overlooked, but the last 5-10 years the committee is putting an emphasis on them to a fault.

No coincidence the last 4 in are mid majors while the majority of the first 8 out are from major conferences.

While mid majors do need a fair look there's no reason to give them all the benefit of the doubt now.

5 of the 10 committee members are from mid major schools or conferences, I wonder if the associate commissioner of c-usa being on the committee helped MTSU any.

This.

And I for one have had to bare the brunt of many of his attacks. God forbid he catch u criticizing anything that CCM does or has done in his career.

Next year will Cuonzo get knocked out of the NCAA tourney because of losing in Dec. and Jan. like the last 2 years? Time will tell.

It sucks, but I can't be too upset about missing a tournament that's already too big. In any case, I expect Tennessee to be in the hunt for the SEC title next year and waltz into the tournament.

Hard to take, if we could have just won one of those early season games we were so close in, we would be in. Add that to the losses to Georgia. I still think UT, KY, and ALA, all beat MTSU, La Salle, St. Mary's, and Boise St. in a head to head game.
