Remeber the episode of Phyllis' Wedding? I loved watching Michael getting pissed at her dad for walking down the aisle and he was dragging that wheel chair. Dwight was looking for Wedding Crashers and had that old man with Alzheimer's wondering around the streets. Classic episode!

Hahaha I loved Dwight sitting through the first half of Wedding Crashers because "you never know when bears will attack". Classic.

Well, I guess I would rather like something right away than have to remind myself that it's gotta get better, just give it time. But, you are correct in the fact that I can't say that it's bad. I don't know if it is or not. Just my first impression didn't leave me wanting to see more.

Michael throw that rice at Phyllis' dad at the reception because he upstaged him and Phyllis stole all of Pam's wedding ideas. Kevin's band played the wedding too.

I mean I suppose while I obviously don't agree, I think that's a fair statement.

I think I probably started out like you (maybe even with The Office), I've just had too many things recently change my outlook on that. I originally didn't like The Departed right after I saw it, watched it again and loved it. Same with No Country for Old Men (with the ending). I initially didn't think I was going to like 24 or Lost either but I stuck with both of them for a little while and now they are all favorites of mine.

Jim's party where they tried to keep it from Michael but Michael ended up crashing it anyways. oh the smiles this show brings to my face

I like it when Michael drags Phylis's dad's wheelchair down the aisle because he's pissed he doesn't get to push him because he decided to walk for her. That's one of my favorite moments ever. The look on his face is priceless.

That's the one with Michael's improv group right? That is also one of my favorite moments in the shows history. "Michael said he has a gun".

I'm just the opposite with 24. I loved that show at the beginning but then it just got to be the same thing season after season. I think I watched season 1-2-3 on dvd in about a week or two span. Lost, however, is still one of my favorites.

What do you like about Jim Rome? I personally can't stand him, in any way. Nor can I stand that new girl that stands in for him on occasion.

I am talking about his radio show so I haven't heard any girl stand in for him unless it was a day I didn't listen. I am usually at work when his TV show comes on. I like his take on the daily subjects because he is so sarcastic it tends to tick people off. He went on a rant one day about Jamie Lynn Spears being pregnant and I was hurting from laughing so hard. Because she has some show on Nickelodeon he was saying that Dora the Explorer was pregnant and he said Spears got knocked up by Sponge Bob and Blues Clues or something like that. It was funnier to hear him talk about it.

Well with 24 I more so meant before I bothered to actually commit to watching a season. Like I was very skeptical of it living up to all the hype so I just never watched it for a long time. I too then wound up watching the first 3-4 seasons withing a matter of maybe 2 weeks.

Like I had seen a couple episodes here and there (it sounds like how you are with The Office) and I didn't see why people were so hooked on it. Then I was almost literally forced to sit down and start watching it on DVD episode after episode and I don't think I've ever been hooked on anything more in my life. I once deemed Jack Bauer "the most addictive drug out there". My 24 experience is probably the best example of what frustrates me with your viewpoint on The Office.

What about the Christmas episode when Michael couldn't tell which girl was which when he had the two Asian girls come to the party. He had to mark their hand and he gave that bike away.

I just assumed you meant the TV show because that's what we were talking about but I know nothing about his radio show. However for me it really doesn't matter which we are discussing. I just can't stand him personally from his voice to his appearance to his attitude. I'm all about some witty sarcasm but I've never really felt like he wrote anything that he said that was funny or that anything was his original idea. That's the impression the TV show gives me. Just the combination of his look and voice while saying stuff does me in.

Yea and they went to "Asian Hooters" and Dwight got separated which also led to much hilarity.

I am a clone and love the jungle, after all we need the Karma too. Romes take on daily events is the best and I look foward to the "Smack Off" all year. I love how some of his celeb friends participate in it, like Jay Mohr, greatest radio show going

My only response left I guess to the Jim Rome fans, which is fine he's just not for me I guess, would be that anyone can rant. He thinks he is phe nominal and I don't think so.

"Jim, Jim, what are they talking about?"

"She is asking how to skin a goose"

"oh it's easy, just...."

I was dying!

I think the office is my favorite show, with scrubs and HIMYM right there with it.

I, for whatever reason, like a show better when it doesn't have a laugh track.

I hear they are doing a spinoff of The Office too. They said they would not do anything to the original show such as take characters away but the spinoff would focus on characters that have a smaller role on the show. They didn't give enough details but it could be a show following Ryan in New York or something like that. Well, Frazier did pretty good as a spinoff of Cheers so it might be good, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Jim Rome sucks hard, he is the only person who can get away with silence on his radio show.

I'm like a few other guys on here, The Office and Lost are my two favorite shows. I give the slight nod to the Office though because I love a good laugh.

The Office is a show where you have to know the characters to really get it. Once you know Dwight, Micheal, Jim, etc. the show is hillarious. A lot of people wrote the show off after season 1 because it was the worst season. Is that when you watched it or was it later on?

me too, The Office and Scrubs don't rely on a laugh track and both shows are much better off. Wasn't there a Scrubs episode where they put a laugh track in making fun of them?

There was an episode about sitcoms in general (in which a laughtrack is used) where a writer from Cheers comes in and finds out he's got cancer, and eventually dies. It won an Emmy for best use of multiple cameras, which was ironic since Scrubs has only used a multi camera technique once -- that episode. Normally it's a 1 camera setup (like movies, or TV dramas are filmed).

The episode is "My Life in Four Cameras"
