I thought tonight was pretty good. I was a little disappointed though. A lot of times awkward moments in the office are what make it hilarious, but at michael's house I found myself feeling too sad for him to laugh as much as I wanted to. Did anyone else feel that way?

from what I have heard (I havent seen it) they are very different and can hardly been compared. Didnt the British version only last like two seasons?

Yeah I thought it had alot of potentional. You would think after 6 months of sitting around doing nothing the writers could come up with something better than this.

I think they really let an opportunity slip out of their hands when both Jim and Pam stayed at the party. They definitely could have created a little tension there (as the Jim/Pam relationship is pretty much the center of the overall plot) by leaving one of them alone with either Jan or Michael, respectively...

the british version is unwatchable. i've never been more bored in my life. the only reason why people like it better is because a) people give a pass to any thing non american (it must be good because it's british!) and b) it's the original.
