The Office: Season 8

last weeks episode wasn't too great, but this weeks was much better. i loved it when dwight called the receptionist (forgot her name) hick and kicked her in the pool.

i love robert california. they actually showed Creed last night for 5 seconds.

I swear, there must be some inside joke with creed never talking anymore.

Show isn't the same anymore. Not necessarily saying that it's completely unfunny. There are still some good bits in each episode usually, but there's been a different type of humor and comedy style resonating within the show ever since Michael left.

It's almost like watching a completely separate spin off of the original incarnation.

I agree, it really is a different show now... but I like it.

There is no use comparing it it to the Michael Scott version of the office, just like you can't compare that version to the British version.

This is basically a new show, except that we know the characters very well already.

On a side note, I really miss Pam.

This sums up my feelings completely, though i lean more to the "it's not that good" side. It's almost totally different, and the writing is much different. Like it's written more like a traditional sitcom, with the jokes more blantant and much less subtle. Plus it's like they have punchlines and are waiting for a laugh track.

I still didn't find the episode very funny, except for Creed, but it was interesting plotwise.

I'm going to go with no, it's not his. I did find find the line "Unless Mose learned sex, it's mine" pretty funny though.

I have two kids exactly the same ages as Jim and Pam's. After getting home from the hospital with both kids, the next new episodes of The Office were when they had the kids.
This is why I really laughed when then sent Jim home and showed pity.

Same here. I haven't watched since October, partly because I'm too busy, but I've also lost interest in the show. Just not the same.

The return of Packer. That was a nice surprise. It was an ok episode but I groaned when I saw Catherine Tate back. She still sucks.

This episode had my favorite Creed moment and possibly my favorite Pam moment
