The Official “Regular Posters of the Basketball Forum” Thread

I know Avery Johnson got Bama to the NCAAT last year, but seems like he's been a pretty big disappointment.

Also, I wish people cared that our Top 10 bball team was about to play the #1 team in the country Sunday as much as they care what cut rate OC we're about to hire.
Wonder what the freeze on Freeze is. Bucks?

Maybe it's because the football team has been a disappointment the last 2 years, but I have no interest in keeping up with who they hire as OC.

On this layout, which side is the tunnel the guys come out of? Top left, right?

I mean I guess I care in some ways, but there's no way it's a blip on my radar compared to Sunday's game.

Plus the jury is still way out for me with Pruitt anyway, and the way we ended the season didn't really help. Just all the hoopla with the OC is just reminding me way too much of the days of Dooley and Jones when people were acting like they were geniuses for hiring certain coordinators and then things really didn't work out. It feels way too deja vu for me.

Feel the same way

I care decently about the OC even though I feel the same way. Gonzaga is still way bigger right now

They aren’t going to lose, but Duke is up 5 on Hartford in the 2nd half, in Cameron of course. If UT was playing Hartford the game thread would be nothing but how bad UT sucks.

College basketball is fickle as hel!!

So we need to stop with the 16,8 or 4 talk! Just keep improving and take what the season gives us. Early analysis and probably unwanted jibberish. jmo

Good odds of a 4 or 8 don't happen here very often. ButterBean Tyndall was leading us to a .500 season not long ago. I won't be quiet.

I won't be quiet.
No question... I’ll re phrase to say it can still be a successful season without a deep run. Bad nights, bad draws and bad calls happen all the time. If we lose 12 reg season games but win the SEC tournament and lose in the 2nd round that’s a good year. Dam the rest imo. Point being it’s all relative.

Yup...keep being a Top 20 program and runs will happen.

If we can get to routinely making the NCAAT, then shoot for routinely making it to the 2nd weekend, eventually there should be some EEs and FFs. I hope it's this year, but if it doesn't happen it doesn't mean that the program is skidding. A S16 every 3 or 4 years would be great. Getting more and more NBA regulars would be outstanding.

Football related, but I think we’ve all felt this for basketball as well. And just the university as a whole these past few years. A friend of FB shared.
