what a weird shot. BHH was given plenty of opportunity here.

It amazes me how media can be so disconnected from reality, then actually allow their content to be viewed. BHH determined his own course at UT, as he was given multiple opportunities, but failed to show anywhere near the energy necessary to play big-time college ball. I suspect that Louisville will see that by March, but I do wish success for a kid who appeared to be dominated by the wants and wishes of those around him.

Does anyone know when single game tickets go on sale? We are almost a month from the season starting which is crazy to think about

Basilio doing a basketball “summit” at noon.

Basilio isn’t that knowledgeable, but his guests might have something.
Did he just say Tennessee is playing Michigan State in Knoxville and Gonzaga in Dallas in “secret scrimmages”, this year? I knew about MSU, but not Gonzaga. Looking at the schedule, though, there are no exhibitions, this year, so it makes sense.

I’ve mostly tuned out. It’s just a 2-hour segment co-hosted by Mark Griffin. I wonder if Griffin still wears his leather britches.

I know it's a highlight practice video, but I saw #44, Jefferson drill a three and dunk 2 handed, easily. Maybe all that preseason talk of DJ being a bust was a little premature. Sometimes, it takes a kid a minute to get used to a new situation, especially if they are away from home for the first time

Any update on this?

Not a bust talent wise, just needs to mature a bit and adjust to the coaching style, the tools are there.

And he doubled down on the idea in his blog, yesterday. Just doesn't see a path to playing time unless Jefferson matures and buys in. He's getting this from someone else, so it isn't total baloney, but who knows how much sensationalism is baked in.

I don’t think Jefferson was expected to contribute much this year by anyone, just a log jam at his position…maybe Tony is stretching that reality to mean something more or maybe there’s truths to it, but I don’t think him not playing this year is just a maturity thing.

No, it's certainly not the only thing keeping him from playing. Talent and experience ahead of him is the main issue. I think Tony originally was alluding to Tennessee being a one-year stop for Jefferson if he didn't make some adjustments to his attitude and become more coachable (paraphrasing from memory).

Yea, and with the portal that’s a common/likely scenario for any kid not playing. As I’ve mentioned before the opportunity will more than be there next year for him to get big minutes, and he has the potential, that’s up to him though.

Someone asked Rob about the Gonzaga scrimmage.

“I will ask around, wouldn't surprise me, they did it for years when he was at Texas and he and Few are close.”
