Agree to disagree…I’ve seen posts from folks saying some nasty things about kids, that’s uncalled for on any platform.I'm all for you shouldn't criticize kids on SM like Twitter, fb etc..... I think it's as dumb as tweeting an athlete about losing a bet( they don't care) but imo message boards are fair game that's what they're for, ans you have to actively seek them out.
Sure there's that line in the sand that nobody should pass anywhere.Agree to disagree…I’ve seen posts from folks saying some nasty things about kids, that’s uncalled for on any platform.
The Memphis team that just the game before waxed #1 Houston…?FAU is solid don't get me wrong, but I'd be more worried if we were playing someone else. They beat a slaw Memphis team and a 16 seed. Show up and the Vols should win.
Memphis beat Houston without Sasser and a couple others I think were banged up. It was an anomaly more than anything imo.The Memphis team that just the game before waxed #1 Houston…?
I get transitive property doesn’t always translate, but I don’t think in this case 1 game ago should just be totally discounted either. I guess simply put, I feel like folks wouldn’t have near this level of confidence if it were Memphis we were playing, yet that is exactly who FAU just beat…

Memphis always matches up well with Houston though. At least since Penny been thereMemphis beat Houston without Sasser and a couple others I think were banged up. It was an anomaly more than anything imo.
I agree I would be a lot more worried about Memphis but that's more so because of the rivalry aspect. Funny things happen when a team is playing on emotion.
They just played them to a 1 point game like 5 days prior, so not sure it was a total anomaly.Memphis beat Houston without Sasser and a couple others I think were banged up. It was an anomaly more than anything imo.

Memphis had just played them to the wire the week before at full strength.Houston played 7 guys they have basically ran with the same 5 all season, but they have 10 players with 10 or more MPG and of those 10 9 have played in at least 32 games. So without Sasser and then they hardly played Sharp or Chaney and didn't even play Francis.
Seemed like "we got here, that's all we needed to do" they then limited Sasser in the first round, but unleashed him again against Auburn. In short Memphis got a lay-up game against them. Lost twice in the regular season when Sasser was playing though.
I'd actually love to see us make the championship and get Houston with our style of play and size and them having such a short bench I think we could beat them.

As for Houston, that’s about the worst matchup we could get which is why nobody wanted them as our 1…they are essentially us, but better.
I’d hate to play Houston, tbh.Houston played 7 guys they have basically ran with the same 5 all season, but they have 10 players with 10 or more MPG and of those 10 9 have played in at least 32 games. So without Sasser and then they hardly played Sharp or Chaney and didn't even play Francis.

We beat 2 of the 1’s and most said Purdue would be a decent matchup for us, consensus sure seemed to be Houston was the worst.I’d hate to play Houston, tbh.
It’s college basketball and any knowledgeable fan knows there’s likely a few of those games every season although losing to a tournament team and another that was on the bubble shouldn’t be thought of as “should have won” games IMO.Pretty much or at least winning the ones you should as the post I referred to was talking about Mizzou and Vandy losses specifically.
Manic nature of fans, I guess. We beat 2 of the 1’s and most said Purdue would be a decent matchup for us, consensus sure seemed to be Houston was the worst.
I like how 2 weeks ago this team sucked and had no chance, now we've got folks saying we should sleep walk into an E8 and asking for Houston lmao
