Can’t say with certainty that all of it came from Tennessee fans, but since the game against Montana there has been an additional $50,000 raised on the GoFundMe for Money Williams.

I’m sure most of it is from Vol Fans though, and the portion that isn’t is because Vol Fans put it back in the spotlight. This fanbase is incredible.

It’s early, but through 4 games Zakai is playing at an All-American level as a PG.

15.5 PPG
7.8 APG
3.0 RPG

86% FT
47.8% 3P (!!!)

I suspect that 3P number is going to come back down to earth. But, man, outside of those 11 turnovers against Louisville, he’s arguably been the best PG in the country to start the year.

Yeah, also at 4.5 turnovers per game right now...but I expect that will drop (he's only had one game where he had 4.5 or more and that was 11 against Louisville).

One thing I'm VERY happy about at this point Felix, Igor and Cade are all leading the team in rebounds per game with 5+ each. Last season we had 2 players rebounding at 5 or better. Aidoo and JJJ

Yeah, that Louisville game was an outlier. I expect that average to drop quite a bit over the next few weeks. Agree on the rebounding. I’ve been encouraged by the post play to start the year. I love how our bigs crash the boards. Aidoo was allergic to it. Not to mention Okapra doesn’t lay the ball in from 2 feet. He rams it down the rims throat, which is another thing fans have been begging for.

Until Igor flushed one in the closing minutes against APSU, I was beginning to wonder if he knew it was legal to dunk in the American version of basketball. 😀

The Big Orange Hotline is on in 30 minutes (8pm eastern). I wonder if there will be an update on the Carr and Estrella injuries and Dubar’s status.

It better not be. I know you can't compare my basketball levels to Division 1 basketball, but I sucked it up and played with stoved fingers many times. It sucks, but you can play through that unless you broke a finger, imo

Yeah, I played my senior year with my pinkies taped to my ring fingers, on both hands. I was a tight end though, not a shoota!

Yeah, matchup against Virginia tomorrow will be interesting... they have a great defense Villanova is the only team they've faced to score 60, granted their first two games were Campbell and Coppin State...but impressive either way. That was the lowest points by Villanova all season as well.

We'll be a big step up in competition for them, Nova is 3-3 right now and Neptune doesn't seem to be much better than a 500 coach.

Not sure we'll have JP or Carr for the game, but maybe Dubar can give us some good minutes. With injuries and the back to back games he's going to have to contribute.
