I'm surprised Okpara and Awaka are so close in the stats. Thought Felix
was a slight higher than actual. I am still happy with Felix' play, but it is good
having Igor in the lineup.

Part of that has been the fact we're beating teams so soundly. Average margin of victory is 26 points.

It's really allowed Barnes to find more minutes for JP (before injury) Cade and now Dubar that otherwise would go to Igor/Felix in closer matchups most likely.

All his buckets are put backs or dunks off of lobs. Without some type of low post moves it will be hard to average double digits scoring. Very comparable to Fulkerson size and athletically. Hopefully he can learn some of the offense CRB taught JF!
Phillips is definitely comparable to Fulkerson in size and what he brings to the table, but I would say Cade is even a little better athlete than Fulkerson was. And Fulk wasn’t a bad athlete at all, so that says a lot. I expect Cade will be heavier, 230ish lbs by the time he leaves here too.

Cade can definitely add the lbs more easily than Fulky.

Don’t believe CRB would tease us w he can also shoot the 3 and that not be a factor sometime the next 2.5 yrs. Fully was never that on any bases outside a couple of lucky shot clock beaters.

I noticed last night that Cade is much thicker through the neck and shoulders than Fulky was. Mo’ poke chops and collards!

Who loses first between us, Kansas or the Barn?

Looking at the schedules, Kansas probably doesn't have a real shot at losing until mid-January. As bad as I hate Duke, hopefully Auburn loses tonight. If they don't, their next best chance is against Purdue who just beats every SEC team they play.

Our best shot will be at Illinois, then at Florida on January 7th.

I'm hoping for a Kansas upset/Auburn loss so we can spend more time at #1.

Fulky was quite bouncy before he got hurt

I guess losing the scrimmage to Indiana was actually a good thing.

Undefeated and #1

Indiana is unranked now.

That aside, if we beat Illinois by 10+ then we deserve the #1 rank.

I think Kansas and the Barn... lol

Plenty of time to lose and drop and then climb back before the NCAAT.

I’d like to see the bar raised again. Hold #1 for at least 5 weeks. And start getting there for at least a week every year or two.

Yeah. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very exciting that we have climbed that mountain again. I just don’t want this team to get complacent. I want a 1-seed. Being #1 just seems to be a curse in college basketball, but at least we have a very winnable game next week and don’t immediately go on the road to Illinois as the newly minted #1 team.
