If we had lost because they awarded Taylor 3 FT attempts I’d have started loading a pickup truck full of fertilizer and driving it to the SEC HQ. I swear to god lol

IMO we basically blew them out when you factor in all that nonsense.

This game won’t boost our advanced metrics as much as it should have

Thought we’d jump higher in AdjO than we did when you consider we put up 77 on the #6 defense. But we only moved up 4 spots.

I will admit it was a very good offensive performance in spurts. I was frustrated with the offense for a lot of the game because it felt like Lanier was the only one that showed up, but they righted the ship and played really nice ball down the stretch.

Maybe I’m harder on this particular team than I should be, it’s a major miracle this team is 22-5 with how many players we lost. But it’s also probably because I know Barnes doesn’t have many years left, we lose a ton of production from this team as well, and the opportunity for a Final Four is closing.

I will say, barring something unexpected. The window closes after this season.

Yep. I have a feeling this year may be the last opportunity for us. So, I’m on the same page with you there. Which is why maybe I have been a bit more frustrated than is warranted at times. I want Barnes to get that elusive Final Four, because the program deserves it and he deserves it.

Big win, happy to see Shack take 7 attempts. Wish a couple more had dropped but sometimes him being willing is enough to keep his defender honest.

Huge game from Chaz, great 2nd half from ZZ & Gainey and really good minutes from Cade and Felix with Igor in foul trouble.
