There are basically 1 million different “here are interesting stats to know that will determine potential champions” around this time of year, so here’s another one to consider:

All these stats keep producing the same results for the most part, I think Houston was left off 1-2 which given just like Tennessee they’ve made it to just 1 E8 recently is probably fair.

Here is a even more impressive stat...

TN has 8 seasons in program history with at least 25 wins, Rick Barnes coached 5 of them and this year would make his 6th.

Yeah looks like you'd have to go all the way back to Norfolk State...

I figured we'd start slow against A&M that's just how they defend. But for us to finish that game shooting 42.6% FG, 48.1% 3PT, & 90% FT was huge.

Hoping we see a 1st half like we had at OU...just put it on them on both sides of the ball and then tighten down on defense in the 2nd half and never let it get too close. Igor is due to have a big game foul trouble kind of kept him from getting anything going at A&M so he only played 19 minutes anyway also hoping they try to get Felix a bit less minutes tomorrow. He was questionable for A&M and then ended up playing 29 minutes!

Would be nice if Dubar had a Texas type night...he seems to have a short leash though. He shot 50% in both of his last 2 games but only played 6 minutes in each, so not sure what got him pulled so quickly...0 turnovers in each so it had to be some sort of defensive mistake.

I think it will be a challenge for at least a half, then they wear down. I like Matt McMahon and hate that he took that job. Wish he'd have waited a year or two to make the jump. He's a very good coach. They suffered a key injury early and just don't have the horses to overcome it.
