The Official #1 Tennessee @ #3 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

First-half goes to UGA. Sometimes when a team comes out and plays with a lot of emotion and dominates in the first-half, they get emotionally exhausted and don't have enough in the tank to sustain it in the second-half. I still like our chances to move the ball and get some points. The game's not over yet.

Hooker missed a TD throw and there was a lucky ass punt. That's the difference between this being an 18 pt game and a 4 pt game. We also shot ourselves in the foot with penalties. This isn't over.

Well if we're going to get back in it the D is going to help out and Hooker needs to get mad. I do think if the OL can buy him another couple seconds some good things can happen.
Big difference in game. Bennett is very comfortable in pocket. Easily the best O line we have played. In CHRIST Alone

I want to believe that our coaches will make the adjustments we need to get things moving in the second half. We are getting absolutely dominated in the trenches…

This just sucks for recruiting
So... we aren't leading at the half and now no one will want to play on the VOLS? The coaches can use this to let the recruits know that they can be the piece that pushes us over the top. This will only be 1 loss at the worst. If we can make it a game in the second half, that message becomes stronger!

Tillman is not himself, UGA has a great game plan, playing well in all phases of the game, O-line killing us jumping around like 4 year-old girls at play. Hooker missed a great deep shot. Banks D is playing decent, missed Stetson in the backfield a few times, and a great high point catch in the end zone, just a great play by UGA player. At this point I just hope outcome is not embarrassing.
This game isn’t over, but Banks‘ defense is most definitely NOT playing decent. You have a VERY low bar.

If this were a close game at the end, I would agree with you. If we lose bad, and if Bama beats Georgia in SCG close then both of them are in. OSU vs Mich winner is locked in as well Clemson (weak conference). Looks like TCU might run the table

I agree a Bama win would make things extremely tough for us. But Clemson is far from a lock and TCU won’t be favored in 2/3 remaining regular season games plus the Big 12 championship game

I’m not even worried about the playoffs. I just want us to come out and show some fight this second half. UGA is playing close to perfectly and we’re flat so can we make a game out of it despite how the first half went? If we can I’ll be pleased. If the second half is like the first I’ll certainly be disappointed.
Second half won't be like this.

Losing sucks. But the worst thing that’s going to happen from this is that they look no where near like a playoff team. A hammering here, even at 11-1, we don’t sniff the playoffs.

You sir are 1000% correct. Thanks for perspective.

Everyone talking about the CFP before this game here were setting themselves up for huge disappointment. Coach Huepel and his approach is the only reason were in this position. To the ones who are ready to cash in on the season now then you do you. Remember the transfer portal two years ago? Did I miss Georgia going through that? I didn't think so. Now it's time to see what you are made of in the 2nd half.

Go Vols take the fight for 60 minutes

They don’t have more talent than bama
Maybe so, but they have it in the right places. Bama has the better QB, but they came into our game about like we did today while UGA is playing angry. We killed ourselves on penalties, not fielding that punt, and the ill-timed turnover. Our defense doesn’t have the talent or speed to be elite. Our DBs are just too slow.
