We had a game last year at A&M like this…it lead to 8 straight wins & we smoked them in rematch.

Just have to figure out how to not shoot this bad on the road.

I don’t remember that A&M game being anywhere near this bad. It was bad, this is far far worse. Again, just one game I get it. But that A&M game was 85-69.

I’m not going to panic, it’s just a question. Feels reasonable to at least wonder a bit more about how good we are after this. Our biggest loss last year was to Texas A&M by 16. We’re currently down 31. Do great teams lose by over 30?

A loss you can expect. We were going to drop one. I think the part that none of us can square is just how terrible this game has been in every single aspect. Exposed is probably right. Question is, can we learn and recover?

I loathe both teams. That’s not the point. All teams have bad games . . . But this tonight exposes some serious flaws (maybe - thus why I posed the question).

We may legitimately be top 1-2 in conference. Or we may be may be behind Bama, Auburn, UF, etc.

Regardless, this is all time embarrassing for a number one ranked team. To deny that is to deny reality. But that doesn’t mean they don’t bounce back against Texas.

But I will say - I don’t see UF boat racing UK / Bama / Auburn this way.

Probably the worst half of Tennessee basketball I have since 1945. Four made field goals. You can not just walk on the floor and your opponent will lay down for you. Barnes will have a lot to say to them at half time
I would put what bench we have left and walk ons and get some rest for the starters. I would not play Phillips at all to protect his injury. I know we could come back and win this game but fatigue would carry over to the next game which is also on the road.

Agree. I think we all got a wake up call tonight. Lanier ain’t Knecht & this team isn’t that tough yet mentally.
