Not going to happen in 30 plus game season. Gonna be a night or two were it’s just ugly. Just is what it is. Now, watch film, see what went wrong, work on it, then flush that game from memory, and prepare for the next one.It really doesn't matter until March, but I feel like a team needs to at least compete in ALL of their games.
This is not your normal take. If we hit our open shots and free throws at our season average then it’s a close game. I know everyone is overreacting to this stinker, but we clanked a ton of good shots. The only thing that really concerns me are the offensive rebounds they got compared to us. That’s not just a bad night type of thing.I don't think they quit, but Barnes and staff just utterly failed to get the team ready for this game. It's not like we started out bad and then got worse; we were bad the entire game.
Tennessee gave good effort its just that Florida gave great effort. It doesn't mean something is wrong in that regard.Outhustled, out hearted, out toughed. That NEVER happens with a Rick Barnes team. Something is going on.
No. It is perfectly acceptable to expect a team to compete in every game. You can lose big and still compete. We have seen that this year (MTSU).Not going to happen in 30 plus game season. Exactly. We started out shooting 1-13 on great looks at the basket. And it snowballed after that. Memories of TTU in NY 3 or 4 years ago.I think we are having a bad game, but i feel like this is a good team.
The worst loss by a number 1 team in NCAA history? Jeez!
Tbh, I need a little time to fully process what happened. I don't usually closely follow post-game pressers, but I def want to hear what Barnes has to say. This is not your normal take. Well this at #8 Florida and the other was home against MTSU. Not like Tennessee didn’t play with effort. They did. Defense wasn’t the issue tonight. Just had an all timer stinker on offense were no one could make a shot. Can’t explain why they couldn’t but just how it wentNo. It is perfectly acceptable to expect a team to compete in every game. It has nothing to do with the game but, whatever happened to the charges made against the Florida coach earlier in the season? I haven't heard them mentioned since they started winning.Well, we wouldn’t have even been in the conversation but Dubar felt the need to give them two free throws at the end so we ended up tying the worst loss by a number one team. Embarrassing either way. If I’m Barnes I hang that final score up in the locker room as a reminder to never let it happen again.
