you might enjoy The Third Man (1949). When students say they just can't watch a film that's not in color, this is the film I screen that converts them.
Unmatched B&W artistry. Unmatched movie making. One of - if not the best movies ever made IMHO. Like Kubrick, Welles was a genius, and this was his masterpiece of masterpieces. Highly recommend it, even if only for the unusual and strange zither music!
