The Official #1 Tennessee @ Kentucky Thur-Sat Game Thread (Thur. 7PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Fri. 6:30PM EST SEC NETWORK+) (Sat. 2PM EST SEC NETWORK +)

Only idiots would jump them over us. Look at the Q1 win differential. We play in the sec and have only 6 losses. They don't and have 9.

We lost in a monsoon on the road. Our plate discipline is fine. Look how many times we walked this weekend when it wasn't pouring rain making it harder to see the ball.

I’ll never grill another steak, as long as I can use cast iron! My wife and I never eat steak when we go out to eat, because it can’t compare to the cast iron steaks we make at home!
GBO!!

How's that done? Use Pam spray before cooking & add a little oil to the skillet b4 cooking?
And do you hold the skillet (sarcasm) over the hot coals while cooking your steak?

I find a ton of good books and movies at McKays! I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on the $17.95 copy of Rebecca, yet.😞
I’m sure we’ve ruffled a few feathers today, but they’re good peeps, I think they’ll forgive us!😁
GBO!!
I've found some incredible buys at McKays, but sometimes I can get the same thing new from Jeff Bezos for less than McKay's used price.

And, yes, good people here.

Much more (and nicer) mental stability here than in the football forum.

Looking at the numbers, this sweep against Oregon was Oregon State’s best win at #19 RPI. In comparison, we have sweeps against #4, #5, and #12 in the RPI and won 2/3 against #10. They have a bunch of wins over solid teams. Our top end wins are better.
I’m thinking there is one or more polls out there who want to stand out. Your logical statistical analysis reminds me an old cliche I heard from my first boss over 45 years ago - “Don’t confuse me with facts when I’ve got my mind made up”.

Coat both sides of your steak with oil, salt and pepper. Preheat the cast iron IN the oven to 400 degrees. Have the stove eye on and ready. Take the hot skillet out of the oven and place on the eye(it’s really hot) put the steak in long enough to sear each side, then place in the oven for about 3 minutes, turning once!
Boooom!

Maybe one day when I can afford to eat steak again, I'll try this .... sounds different.

I hear ya, brother. Thinkin' the same thing. Mouth is waterin' but I've got moving expenses coming up, so I'll have to practice what I've been preaching this weekend. (plate discipline)

FWIW, I use cobbwebb's method, too, and it's near foolproof (unless you have a thinner than normal cut and overcook it). I get impatient and start the pan heating on the stove while the oven's warming. But definitely have to disconnect the smoke alarm and open the doors at both ends of my place.

Come to think about it, mine probably makes more smoke because I brine it overnight in a solution of salt, molasses, black pepper, and biryani. The bit of molasses puts a dark, tasty crust on it, but... yeah, lots of smoke.

Oooh, I will have to try that!

XO concurs. Message is authentic.

Greatly prefer to make steak this way vs a stupid grill.

Anybody got a beer that pairs well with pan-grilled steak?

I'm pre-loading my dream itinerary for the night.
