The Official #1 Tennessee @ Vandy SEC Tourney Semi-Final Game Thread (Sat. May 25 4:30PM EST SEC NETWORK)

Ya know, I was thinking, during the game, I know bad idea…it wouldn’t surprise me if Corbin hangs ‘em up. The ground has completely shifted beneath his feet. I’m not saying he will, but it wouldn’t surprise me either. I got nothing against the guy, just something in the noggin.

I hope he doesn’t retire. The game has left him and I enjoy dominating their Candy Asses.

Fatigue impacts more than just the pitchers though. When players are tired...they tend to not perform at their best. It seems to effect players differently..for example... They may still make good contact while tired but don’t hit the ball as hard. Others may be more prone to striking out when tired.

I promise you it’s a concern of every coach in Hoover this week and they’re paying attention to player fatigue and how it affects each player, because performance will take a hit.(Hitting, fielding, speed, prone to injury). Tony said he changed the lineup today “to give some of the starters some rest.” It’s a long season that takes a grind on your body. None of it may matter, but it’s not as simple as “well they’re young they can handle it.”
Come on man…. These are kids 18-22 yrs old, juiced up to be playing in post season and possibly CWS. FATIQUE, no freaking way.
They have trainers and therapists to get them physically and mentally ready for the next game. They will be just fine. I think it’s good to keep playing, it means you are winning and in rhythm as a team. Take 10 days off you throw the rhythm off and it sets up a possible upset in region tourney.

The reason I’m asking is do we get 11 in, depends on surprise bids.
Personally I feel like Florida gets left out. I just have a hard time believing they will put a 28-27 (13-17) team into the tournament as an at-large. The other 13-17 teams that were on the bubble took care of business and earned their spot because of this tournament. Florida blew their chance. They are now right at 30th in RPI which is not an ideal spot to be in. I think this will be your SEC representatives:

Tennessee
A&M
Kentucky
Arkansas
Georgia
Mississippi State
Alabama
South Carolina
LSU
Vanderbilt
