There are a few like that in all sports sad very sad. I coached and help coach on 2 different travel teams, and we never got close to over pitching a kid. But there's always others think it makes them special by winning at all costs. That type of story is quite sad. The travel ball coaches are just brutal on 8-16 year old arms. Many will way overpitch a little kid who can throw a curve ball for strikes. Crazy crazy crazy!
oh you jest...170 pitches a total of 6 SO....3 days rest....I not sure ASU SHOULD start him should save him for Game 2...Sorry. I understood your previous comment to imply that he pitched poorly in his last two games.
Hopefully, we can win 1-0 on a suicide squeeze in bottom of 9th.
After that, smooth sailing.
I believe it was Tullahoma when they had the Sheffield kids... the coach would not pitch the ace in the sectional game because he did not have enough rest. One of the players parents was irate along the lines of "you took away my kids chance to play in the state tourney" and the coach was like... yeah I am not going to ruin a million dollar arm for a high school game. There was a high school from Knoxville a couple weeks ago, the coach had the kid throw like 110-115 pitches and he's supposed to get 5 days rest, well the coach changed the number and got the other coach to sign the book so he needed 3 days, then he turned around and threw the kid another 100+ pitches to get to state.
This is where they do the Tennessee Football watch parties.Anybody in DC (specifically Alexandria) know a good place to watch the game? My wife wants to go out in Old Town tonight but I want to watch baseball. I would like to compromise
Several come to mind, but this one is the most repulsive in my eyes. Two of the most unlikeable mascots.

I mean really, can you think of any worse in college sports?
