The Official #1 Tennessee vs Alabama State Regional Game Thread Friday June 3rd (6PM EST SEC NETWORK)

The story for tonight is 1) Blade is back, and how, 2) Beck is back, and how, 3) the offense and defense are clicking, and how, and 4) Charlie is a quality defensive catcher who will help control the running game, and who's bat can will get carried by the rest of the lineup without it being a big deal. We're good to go. I pity Campbell's Soup & Co. tomorrow!!

Just watched the press conference and i don‘t want ya crucifying me bc i consider you friends, but there’s more to the story here than what has been told.

I teach a non-verbal communications course to government contractors to help them use body language as a tool for interrogation (that’s all i can say there). Haha

But the body language here is way off. Coach Vitello‘s body language is way off from his normal baseline. He shifts the focus away from conversation on Evan several times (understandably) but something is not right here. They’re protecting Evan, as they should, and I hope all is well with him, but this isn’t my first rodeo. Prayers to him and his family, and whatever may be impacting him and his life.

Putting a bag over their head and snatching their ass up in the middle of the night works as an interrogation tool too lol. Saw that plenty in Iraq 🤣

Good job BaseVols!

I didn't post during the Vandy game in the SEC Tournament, and since the guys played so well in that one, I decided not to post during the rest of the time in Hoover. And look what happened. 😉

I tried to do that today, but I just couldn't sustain it. One reason is simple; the baseball forum may be my favorite on Vol Nation. The second reason is it takes my mind off other things. We just came to the realization that my mom needs to go to assisted living. This might not seen like that big of a deal to some of you, and I get that; y'all don't know me other than what I post here. She has gone downhill since the first of the year and we just can't give her the 24 hour attention that she needs. And it breaks my heart, even though the facility she's going to is top notch.

I got my love of Tennessee athletics from my parents, although they didn't go to school there (they are ETSU grads). Watching the BaseVols today has helped me deal somewhat with what's going on. Hopefully, things continue to progress well for the BaseVols and for my Mom. Sorry to dump this in the baseball forum, but Vol Nation has become kinda therapeutic for me.

Thanks and peace to all.
Have you selected a location? My parents placed my grandmother in a facility in Lenoir City where she was comfortable until she passed at the age of 104. If you’re interested, I can forward more information. It was an Alzheimer’s assistance center.
